How long do Flybe take to give you a reply?

Your a mad man to re-apply with a CIFAS marker on there. Lol
It just said 7-10 days. If I am turned down I will appeal that too :D

:rotfl:

Do you have a standard template to send?

If I didn't have defaults on my credit file I would appeal Vanquis.

Vanquis never sent me a decline letter either. You have to be clairvoyant to be a potential Vanquis customer.

Did you ring Vanquis regarding your statement not arriving?

I did ring Vanquis. They did not send me one as I had a zero balance. I do have a template letter to send which I just adapt for each recipient.

Dear Sir

Ref:

I write with reference to my recent application for a Tesco Clubcard Credit Card and your subsequent decision to decline me the facility.

I’d like to appeal your original decision as I feel I can provide a written statement and additional information to support my application which I hope will allow you to possibly reverse your decision in my favour, albeit even with a different ‘starter’ product if needs be.

The basis for my appeal is as follows:

I have several credit accounts all of which have been handled very well with no missed payments. I have 2 credit cards, a bank account with overdraft, a mobile phone account and 3 catalogue accounts. All of these have been handled according to the terms and conditions of my account and payments have been made on time and, in return, the various credit limits have been raised over time.

I am not in employment due to an illness and am in receipt of government benefits which include:

Income Support
Incapacity Benefit
Disability Living Allowance
Housing Benefit

These total £xxx a month and as I am registered disabled and am unable to work these payments are guaranteed. My bank and other credit companies accept these monies the same as a salary from an employed person.

I currently bank with Halifax as they offer a great account, ideally suited to my individual needs. My current credit card doesn’t offer me the best rates at the moment with an APR of 19.9%. I have a small balance of £480 on my main Ulster Bank card and would like to avail of the Tesco card’s 0% balance transfer facility to make my cash go further.

If you would like to see documentary evidence of my income and/or proof of address such as bank/credit card statements or utility bills please advise me what you would like to see and I shall make them available.

With my explanation of my current credit agreements and my income I hope you can adjust the original decision to a positive one in my favour and give me a chance to show Tesco Finance that I am a good customer, loyal and trustworthy.

If you cannot override the decision for the product applied for, can you authorise an alternative inferior product – if you give me a chance to prove myself then I’m sure you’ll be happy in the long run all the while retaining a very valuable customer.

I look forward to your response, hopefully with better news than last time, and to a future business relationship together as my main credit card provider.

Yours faithfully

That's very helpful. Thanks for that.

I'll copy and paste and edit it to myself.

A bit of information required. Do you think the reason I'm getting declined would be the amount of the defaults in terms of value or how many there are?

I'm only asking becasue you have a default don't you, is that just on Experian or Equifax or both can't remember? Futhermore what's the value of yours?

I can't seem to work out it because you may get accepted for Flybe/BOI/Tesco with a default.

My default is only with Equifax and is for £515

What are your chances with Flybe then?
