You should give them a ring and ask Credit Referrals to have a look as I mentioned before.

When I had an Orange contract about 9 years ago now I was 18 and they turned me down, then they spoke to referrals and said I can have one if I pay a £100 deposit, which I paid and I got it back after 6 monthly repayments.

I know it was a while ago, but it's worth a go if you can't afford PAYG.

The girl I was speaking to was very nice, and said she had asked credit referrals if there was any way around it, and they said the only way was to appeal with a copy of my credit file. Clearly not going to help...

Thanks for the support, but I do think I am stuck here.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason does there? Esp as I got the bank acc and Cap 1 have asked for docs.

I will keep persevering then. Thanks for the advice.

    Hi all,

Had a call from Post Office CC today at work...wanted to check a few details on my application (already sent in docs requested)...asked time at addy, salary, time with employer...as it was difficult to answer some questions( I work on a reception desk)
I felt I had been a bit evasive, although they thanked me and said they will further process my application.

Me being me I phoned them back as soon as I had a break and was told that their underwriters had approved:Dmy application. Although could not tell me what card or the credit limit as yet.

So my next question to you all is this card has both 0% balance transfer AND 0% purchases for 3months. Now for the obvious question....does that mean I can do a balance tranfer AND spend on the card at 0% as long as the purchases are paid off in full at the end of the 3 months? Sorry to sound thick but not used to these mainstream cards:o

    Thanks guys and gals;)

NEVER SPEND ON A BALANCE TRANSFER CARD!

    sorry to shout

    :D

when you pay the card back money will go to the 0% BT first and when that is paid off then the purchases will be paid
