Happy birthday Proliant, and fairmom try not to be down, it'll be for the best in the end, I'm sure of that.
My BMI card arrived today :j £1500 credit limit, had to ring them up to activate it and they tried to flog me the payment protection and "free" access to Experian for a year - at £59.99.. not sure how that equates to free, but anyway?
Just got to spend £250 now in the next 90 days to get a free BMI business flight :T
Oooo. You could buy me a ticket to New York.0 -
How is that possible?
I find it quite bizarre!
Sutton, where have you been - there's loads of debates on it lol. Basically, if you took out a credit agreement before May 2007 I think, there's a high chance that the lender no longer has the original agreement that you signed. So say I owe £10k to Barclays. I write to them and say "prove to me that I owe you £10k - I want to see a copy of my signed Consumer Credit Agreement (CCA). Barclays then fanny asses around and 8/10 times they don't have it. So then I say, well if you can't prove it I'm not paying it back. If a lender can't prove that you signed up to the agreement then it makes it unenforceable. However, it doesn't clear the debt - it just means that it can't be enforced. So it still screws up your credit rating.
People tend to be in 2 camps - you borrow it and you pay it back, or you can't prove it so I'm not paying you. Guess which camp Mr P is in, and which one Mr Rocket is in lol
Hope everyone is well. Fairmorn, sorry to hear about your job - that blows. Mind you, you're in quite a specialised industry so should new work be ok to pick up? K, congrats on the RBS removal. Only 1 default left to deal with now!!0 -

?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
