"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.
  • Don't let them wind you up, some people have nothing to do than lurk all day posting and winding....
Hope you had a good birthday!not too hungover...

Went to the cash machine this morning A+L and tried to take some money out , just as the machine was going to dispense it 'crashed' - phoned A+l there and then who said that the machine has registered as me taking it out! Having to raise a query - anyone else had this?

Sorry to hear that mate, I have been lucky enough not to have that happen to me, I use Visa 99% of the time and get cash back, I do not trust an ATM.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
  • its very rare I drawer money out - it was the actual machine at the A+L as well thats whats more maddening.

    *update*

Just called the bank and its all sorted! Good service from A+L.

  • That looks like a top bike PRO, I could do with one of those especially in this brass monkeys weather, walking to work every day (35-40 mins each way) leaves me frozen and knackered before I even start!:rotfl:

Then tell your employer about the government ride to work scheme, you get a voucher for any ammount up to £1000 and you get all of your kit, the money is deducted out of your wages every week or month but you only actualy pay around 60% of the tru cost of the bike, i.e say you spend £600 in the bike shop you only pay back about £400.

Would have thought it would have been a simple matter of closing the ATM, counting the money, checking it against the machines expected balance, realising the machine was up and then crediting your account.

Of course sometimes the simple things are never simple for the banks so fair play to A&L in this case
