    You're right they should do extra checks but it looks like lender jsut say no staight away.

    My Aqua PIN number just came through the post. Not quite sure why they sent me a PIN number before the card, but it seas in the letter the card will follow within a few days...

    Applied on the 23rd January. Got a credit agreement and returned it... 12 days ago. Have just received the PIN this morning and told the card will follow within a few days.

    I'm now going to have to go through all of this again with Vanquis, as they've just accepted me and want ID. :mad:

    why do Vanquis need ID? They've not asked me for any.

    Probably because my credit report is totally blank with no active accounts on it, so they can't prove who I am or even if I'm a real person... (My guess anyway)

    My cheque to pay off my Next account cleared today and I just used my debit card to pay off my Ulster Bank card so at the moment I am debt free! :D
