Too be honset I like the look of the card. :o

My money does go up that much. I only get carers allowance and Income support.

Don't just apply for the look for the card. It's not worth £100+ a year. You get bored of the card very quickly. I had the same thoughts and regretted getting it. Just get a standard current account and a nice silver Visa Debit. :)

So you think it will go through then?

Even with my 2 defaults. How many searches did you have on your Experian file when you applied. I have 24.

I have 9 currently (Within the last 3 months). I had 4 when I applied for a HSBC Current Account.

I'd wait 3 months and then apply for a standard current account or current account advance. In the 3 months, do not apply for any more credit products or anything that results in a search.

When do your defaults drop off?

lol capital one has a lower APR doesn't it? - so sure! lol

Well I intend to pay in full every month so the APR doesn't matter to me. It's just I've heard Vanquis increase your limit reletively quick.

    2012.

I'm hoping them being satisfied will help. What do you think?

To be honest, I know hardly anything about defaults apart from they stay on your record for 6 years and drastically effects your chance of getting credit facilities.

    Thats all I know, really.

I have been told that a satisfied default is better than a un-satisfied but that's just common sense. How much better is what I would like to know.
