I know. Darcy also had defaults when he applied and they accepted him.
Darcy didn't use his real name - he used his MSE alias.

HSBC Plus is easy to get is you have no defaults or CCJ's. I was accepted for a HSBC Plus account 1 month ago (As soon as i turned 18). I had no history and only a few searches for credit cards (Which were all declined).

HSBC accepted me for a Plus account, however I downgraded it to Current Account Advance as I realized how stupid I was, paying for a current account which features I didn't use. I just wanted the Plus card and to feel special. A mistake which cost me £20 (Had to pay to get it downgraded, £13 + £6.50 fee).

On a side note, I'm awaiting my Vanquis and Aqua credit card. Hopefully in 6 months time, I'll be able to apply for a HSBC Credit Card as I'll have green markers and nothing bad on my file (Apart from 9 searches which shouldn't be taken into account in 6 months?)

    :)
