  • Just a quick update on the total spend this month (so far). I've lost my evangelical zeal for the shopping this month, but I'm determined to get it back for March. This month I've thrown away food for the first time in ages and it's felt nothing but bad! I've gotten out of the habit. I need to stay out of the habit. So....I'll update again tomorrow, if there's more spend, then I'm heading to March's thread with my head held high and purse closed tight. Thanks for the advice Boomdocker about the notebook. It's taken me til now to get back on line (blush emoticon). Next month, I hope I'll be engaged a bit more. Well done everyone on Feb's figures. Good luck for March's

Went to the Tesco Express near work today and found taht Freshnlo milk is still £1.06. Said online that this ended on Tues so I was well relieved:D !!! Bought 2 bottles just incase, lol
I was in a Mr T today, so checked the shelf ticket. It now says the offer ends on 28th Aug, so you're safe for a while yet.

But if you have an A!di nearby it's worth checking there -- ours does 1 litre of semi-skimmed for 49p, so that works out slightly cheaper again :)

    Hi,
Just a quickie to answer the Sainburys question....

I've used them with no problems at all - generally they turn up on time and have most if not all items I have requested (I do not accept substitutes). The fruit, veg and meat are all well within date and seem fresh enough.

The one good thing about them is that they give you a £10 voucher to use on the next shop if they are 1 min late! They also deliver in 1 hr time slots. If they are going to be late/early they ring and let you know in advance (and give you the voucher if they're late!)

I would recommend them and am very happy with their service.

I would second this, Sainsburys far surpass Tesco and asda for delivery, I try to avoid the other two and only use them when I have a voucher code.

Evening all -just a little shop today £6.99. We have visitors for the next 4 days so this is going to be a challenge -don't want to look as if I am scrimping -even if I am:rotfl: Have done a bit of baking in advance and I don't need to have any massive shop, so I'm just going to do my best. Have to go to the Farmers Market tomorrow for fresh fruit and Veg and need to get a joint for Sunday and a few other little bits -hoping to keep the cost low though.
