Nope you have got the right account and have been lucky.

Its seems the barclays system is a bit of a lottery i was entered on both systems and told i failed both but on appeal i was given an account albeit with a next to useless cashcard.

Just a follow up to say after three months of trying, I've finally been accepted for a Barclays account. My advice would be to apply by post, get branch staff to verify ID (with branch stamp and till stamp) and send a copy of your bankruptcy from the court. I was declined twice in branch, tried twice by post (first time declined due to branch staff not verifying ID correctly).

Was a surprise to hear about this today as I only called them a couple of days ago to find out what was happening and was told that they had probably lost my application. I've just managed to get Natwest to open an account for me - typical! Funnily enough I'll probably just stick with the Co-operative anyway!
