Oppps I ate my bagels for brekkie (I was hungry) along with my banana...so I will nip to Mr T's later and get some more supplies for the rest of the week

Hoping not to spend too much though - just get some potatoes and cheese and beans I think :D
  • Today all I could grab was a tiger roll, banana and a red cherry fruit corner.
Not a great lunch but better than the yucky sandwiches on sale around here:rolleyes:

On the plus side work have free Fruit, Biccys, Tea & Coffee :)

When we have free biccies I always have one there and then and bring one or two home for the biscuit tin. Feel a little bit like knock off Nigel but other people have 3 or 4 at their desks so it's just like I'm eating the same but not eating them at work! And we have a nice varied biscuit tin :p

BF gets free fruit at his work, he always gets a banana and then doesn't eat it - because of this I've found many recipes for things that use banana such as flapjack, banana cakes, banana bread! I don't like bananas on their own so it's a great free way to use them up :D

I have made ham, cheese and pickle sandwiches for lunch. I have a yoghurt and pear for this afternoon. Have eaten 2 free biscuits from work to keep me going to lunchtime.

Ended up having bacon sandwiches for dinner last night as the bacon needed to go. So might have the fish, veg and potatoes of some sort tonight!!!

I'm proud of you MessyMum - If all you had was yoghurt then you must have been so tempted to spend some money on something more substantial.

Stick with it and fill up in fruit.

my word its like the universe is conspiring to help me for once!

Tomorrow I'm starting a brand new job, which is based in a village, a mile from the nearest corner shop, and about a 45 minute walk to the nearest Tesco....
I dont drive so can't see myself doing that walk in my lunch hour.

Working in a "progressive" environment with a huge emphasis on health.
So not only do I need to get myself organised to take in a lunch every day (or starve!) but also to be a bit healthier with it.
Food shop came today, so I will be taking:

    Bagels with cheese spread
Go Ahead yoghurt break bars (BOGOF in Wilko)
    2 slices fruit bread
    Total of 59p...

Fruit and tracker bars are in abundant supply there, as too is herbal fruit teas....
Am thinking of trying to make a banana loaf on sunday (a day off) and take a slice or 2 of that with me, as I've got quite a sweet tooth, so need to satisfy the craving till I can wean myself off of it....

Am not a massive fan of fruit but need to improve my diet....
Next week (as only working 1 full day this week) will think about taking in carrot sticks and a dip maybe, veggie casserole, rice dish perhaps....
Wealth is not measured by currency
  • I'm hungry today :(
Had toast from home from breakfast - 2 coffees and a tea at work with 2 digestive biscuits, two chicken rolls, bag of crisps and a flapjack for lunch.... feeling very hungry and only have flapjack, crisps left to eat eek!! Today has to be a NSD though again so I'll just have to make do :(
going gym after work and I'm going to be starved!!

  • Tea is..... a beef stew, made with the tough horrible beef out the freezer that's too tough to grill, the mix of vegetables thats been floating round the freezer draw, thrown in with an oxo cube and the 1/2 jug of leftover pepper sauce. (Has been in the slow cooker since 9am and is starting to smell yummy)

Pudding if a Mr T value sponge pudding (that's been in the stock cupbard ages) with custard.
Nearly debt free....at last Roll on July 2010

How about taking in a natural yoghurt, chopping up the fruit and eating it all mixed together? Cheaper and healthier than yoghurts with sugar in, and you'll be getting fruit without it feeling like you're eating it?! Maybe add some sunflower seeds or raisins?

Don't think dinner will be much for me, been very unwell and food is still a bad word. Lost loads of weight and feel dreadful. Managed couple of dry ryvita and a kiwi fruit.
