    Hi Peeps

Lunch today will be a sandwich - using up the cheapo wholemeal loaf I bought last week (it was close to sell by date), may well put on some wafer thin honeyroast ham that I picked up in Lidl today along with some beetroot. Dinner is likely to be a pizza slice (again a Lidl purchase) or even beefburger in a bun with onion and ketchup (home made except for the bun).

Tomorrow I will be naughty as I am off out for a pub lunch with my best mate:D

    Hi All

Just enjoying an out of date cuppa soup and will follow up with a sarnie from home.

Not sure what's for dinner yet, but it will be something from the cupboard/freezer.

    Hope everyone's ok!

  • I'm Back....

Took some time away from MSE (it was starting to rule my life) and I'm back now, refreshed and ready to save money.

I've been semi-good. Only a few purchases made.

No breakfast today I'm afraid, too lazy this morning to arrange anything.

For dinner though I have the very last of my Sweet Potato and Chilli Soup with a ham sandwich.

On a Friday, my mum looks after my little girl, and when she arrived this morning, she carried in two chickens. She's going to cook them both up today ready for our tea - ummm. A few roased veg and hey presto, a nutricious, fuilling (and more to the point FREE) tea.... Thanks mum ;-)

Also made a batch of Oreo Cookie Flapjack last night. Although after sharing with my team at work, it's all gone already. No so MSE, but still nice.

    Byeeee
  • I am having some home made fish pie, i made it in bulk and froze it in portions but with sweet potato on the top so nice flavouring rather than having to put cheese on, as trying to cut down on the fat intake.

I had a cooking day last week made 5 different soups, got 12 portions, also a lasagne, chicken casserole and the fish pie. i have enough portions for an evening meal for a month and the total come for the ingredients which included the herbs spices, and free range chicken breasts etc was just over £15, loads of spices and stock left over for next month for another batch of soups

Have porridge and fruit for my brekkie and make either wraps or a sarnie/toasted bagel for my lunch.
I am now debt free :j:jsince January 2009
but really need to learn how to save and budget to get some savings behind me
