I remember when Fine Fare was on our main street. Yellow label was their own brand and there was no worse insult at school for someone to say that your mam bought yellow label. :rotfl:
From what I remember, the yellow label tins were usually bashed and sometimes rusty. Maybe that was just our Fine Fare though!
  • My high street had Key Markets (food still in boxes-no shelves either)

I remember them. I used to lick them before eating them. :o And they were in a fake newspaper bag. I think Burton's used to make them.

those were the days, when prices used to be put on with a sticker gun- that used to fascinate me, and when my parents bought a shop, the previous owners left a sticker gun in the back- happy days as a 10 year old :D

When you used to walk round Safeway and hear the click click click of the pricing guns and if ever one was left unattended, you had to fight the desire to sneak over to it and have a quick go

Or was I just a very sad child? :rotfl:
