no one mentioned a contract to me
i wonder if i automatically go onto a new one?
how can i find out(without phoning) when my contract is up? i have no idea about these things:think:
Log on through the AOL Browser if you have it installed and there is a section along the lines of account / billing info.. Details of your plan and contract will be in there.0 -
thankyou i will go have a look though i doubt i can remember the origional log in details lol0

Hi & Thanks to the OP,
I am in an 18 month contract (ending Sept 09) & pay £14.99 p/m Broadband. I rang them last night after reading this thread & doing a bit of homework online! I found a page on AOL saying that if you were a Broadband member you could get FREE anytime calls (usually £5.95), all you needed was a BT landline! So I signed up & its being switched on the 18th Feb :j . Thats a £5.95 saving a month (BT charge) then I asked the guy if I could go onto a cheaper package for Broadband, after he checked he said that if I call back in July he will be able to offer me a much cheaper package! So I will be aclling back then!

I have got my package reduced from 14.99 per month to 9.99. I couldn't have the 6.99 with free calls as I am on the BT light user scheme.
Never mind still a fiver a month saving.0 -
Although I've gor the £6.99 package, this might not suit everyone, as I got further info from AOL. This package is capped at 10gb download limit, which is fine for me. Before I had an unlimited service. Trying to get a copy of the terms and conditions has been very difficult. I'm waiting for it to be sent to me. If anyone has these, please could they PM me.
Thanks
Update 9th February
I got a letter from them, and have it in writing that the there is not a download limit on this package.0 -
Thanks OP!
Just called Aol. I'm on 14.99 package. Just said some of my friends (!) are only paying 6.99. What do I have to do to get this price?!
Guy said that includes the AOL talk but as I've just changed my BT package wasn't sure if that would interfere so he said it would be 9.99 without calls. When I asked well how do I go about changing he just said well I can do that now because you phoned up and asked!! Result!
They must be desperate to keep people as I called last year did the whole threatening to leave and got nowhere.
Thanks guys!0 -
just ring and ask to be put through to cancellations
then say your pitch to them, dont deal with anyone else
say others have got the deal, how you would really love to stay with aol etc but its a bit pricey compared to others
it will work it took me 3 phone calls
I have tried all this countless times, i even managed to get my MAC code there and then once. im gonna leave it another week or so then see what they say.
I have been told im getting this deal that deal and every other deal they just dont seem to actually order it.0
