Have to say am a little disappointed that our local collection of libraries no longer stocks the Nella Last books - have been in the mood to try them after hearing so much about them on here.

    Hi All

Not posted on here for a few days so havent really caught up with what is going on with everyone. ((((((hugs)))))) to all who need them.

Have been trying to be a domesticateed goddess the past few days...........however looking around me you would probably struggle to see where exactly the domesticated bit has came into it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Attempted to make some fairy cakes and muffins............OH accused me of trying to poison him! :rotfl: (ok they did taste pretty vile) so the whole lot ended up in the bin! Awwww well we can but try!

Spent today with my sister and little neice, had some yummy HM soup courtesy of my mummy! Really was lovely. Was nice to catch up with her and not have to worry about what I should be doing but cant!

Got a meeting with my manager tomorrow (off sick at the mo due to my RA) and to say Im not looking forward to it is probably an understatement! I know Im going to get a bit of a 'hard time' about when I plan to return to work but unfortunately thats a question I cant actually answer at the minute!

Going to take a leaf out of WBS book and try to find at least one positive thing per day to focus on.

Today Im grateful that I have a loving, supportive family around me. No matter how low I get or how bad things get they are there to prop me up and remind me that I am a lucky girl!

Hope the rest of your evening goes well.

    L xoxox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!

Diva thinking of you ,Tristan and his familyx
  • Moneysaving Diva - so sorry. My prayers are with you and Tristan.

Well, little bear swung on his reins so much when we went out that my bad shoulder is playing war. So I have rootled around and I want to say that I am really happy that I have a lovely and supportive dear heart.

Little bear had such fun while we were out. I wish you could have all seen the panic on my face as I juggled mum-sized handbag, shopping bag and little bear on the floor trying to crawl over the kerb. On a busy road. During school run time. Two hundred yards from a school. That is a lad with a sense of the dramatic! I was half giggling at the time, he was just soooooo determined.

LoopyLinz - good luck with the meeting, hope all goes well. Make notes before hand and take notes during. If your manager is being particularly difficult ask him to pause and clarify for your notes - it terrifies them!

Speaking of which, I do wonder about Hester. Also bargainbird but for a different reason.

    Evening all

I'm a very tired Morwenna tonight! Work happened to me :D

Pork steaks topped with cheese and apple sauce for tea, with HM wedges (tossed in chargrilled chicken seasoning) and peas. We had tuna & swwetcorn mayo, HM brownies and orange juice in our packs today. DD2 also had carrot bits (they should have been sticks but I was rushing!) and syrup pancakes for brekkie with fruit & yoghurts after. Yesterday, inspired by the lovely Thriftlady's preserving diary thread, I made marmalade :T (As it's only me here who eats it, only 5 and an almost threequarter jar, but I still feel very MS :D

Hugs for MSD and Tristan - my thoughts and best wishes to you both. And also for anyone who needs them.

Wannabe_Sybil Surely the Ankh would need a spade, not a paddle? ;)

I have a big meeting to prep for tomorrow, but would rather bake :o harumph
