    Afternoon all
Its been quite a nice day today, dry and sunny again, bit cold but not too bad.

I am a bit earlier today,I havent been to the hospital OH has gone on his own, with MIL's clean nighties and other things with strict instructions to bring back any washing that is there.

I have been trying to get up to date with the housework, not done too badly all vacuumed, dusted, all hard floors mopped over and every where smells nice and fresh and clean, it was driving me mad I just hadnt got the time or energy to do everything as usual.

We have SC beef stew for dinner tonight, with fruit for afters.

DS1 is coming up tonight his train arrives around 6.00, OH will pick him up. He will come to the funeral with us tomorrow then we will drop him at the station, I think he said his train is just before 5.

Off for a read through now, back later

Afternoon chums ,not too bad a day here although getting a bit grey looking now. College tonight ,all about the 'Poor House' rather apt when you see whats happeneing ATM.Watched the programme about the 1929 Wall Street Crash on catch-up t.v. Seems like we never learn, that 'if you spend you have to pay back'. Roosevelt at the time when he was elected, just after the crash put in some pretty strict guidlines for banks, so they couldn't over-extend, then it seems that in the past few years these have been ammended as they were considered 'old-fashioned' seems he was right though as almost the same thing has happened again almost 80 years later !!!
Oh well lets hope thing turn around a bit better this time.
had the SC on overnight with a big casserole of beef and have portioned it up and its gone into the freezer. Only going to have something light, maybe an ommelette before I go to college as I have to be out before 6.00.p.m.
DD dropped off a throw for me to stick into my WM for her as I have a nice long washing line for it to go on.
Booked the ferries for us for our holiday on the Isle of Wight this morning .Cheaper to go to France than the Island, 2 cars = £214 !! Still well worth the trip, as we have our holiday house booked in Chale for a week in August. <hugs to those down and blue> and smiles to everyone else.
Have a good monday ,whats left of it .
    Cheers JackieO x

  • Little bear has eaten a cheque. It was from dear heart's auntie, who would never allow us to know when she was visiting dear heart's late mother in case we turned up.

I suspect I am up the Ankh without a paddle.

But, it could be worse, there could be snakes.

At the moment there seems to be drifts of paper everywhere and piles of stuff.

    Hugs to all.

Afternoon everyone - hope you're having a good day, or as good a day as you can be having?

Been a busy one - hung out two loads of washing this morning before coming to work, just hope that they're dry when I get home!

Got choir tonight, so it's going to be a quick tea. I've got lots of mushrooms in, so maybe mushroom risotto.

Hope that the rest of the day goes well for everyone

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
