    Morning peeps

the weather is miserable here atm but i`m hoping for brighter weather and maybe even a bit of sun later, it`s quite mild too which is a bonus as i`ve turned the heating down another notch. I`m another one who likes to keep the house fairly warm for the doggies as the little oldie has arthritis and i know that it makes a difference for him.

The wm is on atm  MrS forgot to turn it on when the cheap electricity rate started last night and i need things out of it for w*rk so i have had to put it on now rather than wait another day.

Plans for today include a blitz of the bathroom and the main bedroom after walking the houndies and a good dusting downstairs, i need to shampoo the rug in the living room but i shall wait and decide about that later.
I would like to nip to the shops for a spade too so that i`m ready for some more garden work after breaking mine a couple of days ago.

Dinner tonight will be a big cheesy potato bake - the recipe is on the wall calendar and very nice it looks too, i have all the ingredients so i`ll get cracking on that one later.

Happy Birthday Gracie :bdaycake: have a lovely day!

I`ve just remembered the ironing pile that i moved out of the way yesterday so hopefully i shall make a start on that too after sorting through and removing MrSunnys work clothes, i never iron those as it`s just not needed and i also don`t want to waste any electricity :D

I shall make a move shortly after a cuppa.

    Have a good day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Good Morning All

Ive not had chance to read the thread yet, so (((hugs))) to those who need one! My eyes are not fully functioning yet!

I forgot it was Inset day at DS school today! Thanks to dlb who told him when he called for her son!

My friend is still here! She's had so many ups/downs! But I think y-day was a wake up call for her! She went to get some stuff from the house, only to find her ex high as a kite on heroin! Im in the process now of booking her an appointment at the clinic!

Spent the wk end doing the general housework. And trying to list more stuff on ebay! Since my huge clear out over Christmas, Ive got loads to list!

Ive done really well with my fitness programme at the gym and since I started in Nov, 2008 Ive lost 7kg! Thats not including the weight loss since July! I feel so much better for it!

Anyway, best be off, have a great day all
    Love Emma x x

a very quick good morning

wannabesybil just a quick thing about charity shops and furniture. When I moved house about 18months ago I had some wooden furniture to get rid of and barnardos came and removed it all free of charge in their van. Perhaps it's worth calling them to see if they offer that service in your area?

got a friend coming for coffee so gotta dash for now x

Got back mid afternoon and proceeded to fall asleep on sofa although managed to put on and hang up 2 loads of washing.
Anyway, OS today is HM soup for lunch and omellete and chips for tea. Need to go and do a shop so will swing by Lidl on way home tonight.
Not read the thread yet but hugs to all in need, hope everyone had a great weekend.
cold but very bright here in Edinburgh, got my heater on full blast in office as it's an ice box!
Did anyone hear Peter Jones on Radio 1 this morning? He is so positive and motivating to hear amongst all those doom & gloom news readers much like our very own Martin!

    Love to all x

Katholicos - I hope you get your money sorted out; what a worry it is - the benefits peope really don't seem to know what they're doing, do they?

Gracie - have a very Happy Birthday!

Crazychik - well done on the weightloss!

(((Hugs))) to all who are feeling unwell or anxious - what a horrid month it has been, in so many ways.

Well, the sun is trying to come out from behind the clouds and there's some blue sky dotted about, so fingers crossed it brightens up a bit. I've been really cold since I got up; I don't know why because it's not that cold.

I'm just going to get the hoover out and do a bit of dusting before I get some proper work done, but I'm enjoying a coffee on here first.

Well, unusually for me, I can't think of much to say, so I'll love you and leave you.

  • Good morning (((((((((((Everyone)))))))))))))

Daisy, I agree with Tired Mum. I do not watch the news right now either. For some reason it seems easier to take if I just read it online. Plus I can pick and choose what I want to read.

I also have leftover haggis which we'll have for tea. Seeing as it is Chinese New Year I'm wondering whether to stir fry it with beansprouts and soy sauce -or do you think that is fusion food gone too far? We'll probably have haggis hash.
Go for the haggis stir fry. Slice some carrots, onions and toss those in with the beansprouts and soy sauce. Adventures in cooking! ;)

Happy Birthday Gracie. :bdaycake: I hope this year is a brilliant for you.

Hester, I hope things on the job front are much better today for you. I don't know what it is that you do, but it surely sounds stressful.

Tired today, sitting in bed with the lamp and laptop again! Didn't settle well last night. Talked to DD in sunnier climes and she almost convinced me to visit in the attempt to get much needed light and sunshine, but I don't think I feel up to the trip. I'd be OK till I get to the destination airport, but after that.... well I don't know. I would have to go on Wednesday in order to stay within my current period of sick leave. I haven't had the injections. My DH could be off on his work trip abroad at any minute, OK well, with only a week's notice. My dd will be working some of the time and I don't know how I would cope in an unfamiliar environment. Would also put us back with our repayments. DH doesn't mind that if it makes me feel better, he's a sweetheart, I must take care of him!
Hun, please remember if you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anyone else. I have had times when I felt very unsettled in a different place when not feeling well, and still do at times. I'm sure you DD will understand if you just want to sit back, read, watch the telly and rest. Just my thoughts and hoping you feel much better soon. The days are slowly getting longer thank goodness.

Katholicos - Perhaps you could call or go to your local CAB and they can help you get the forms sorted? You're so right about the left hand not knowing what the right is doing.

It's 5C here this morning and unbelievably calm winds. It looks a bit dull but is suppose to be dry today. I may have actually seen a few patches of blue sky. I'm not sure though as it seems quite a while since I've seen it. :rotfl: I have a large load of sheets and another of towels to do so will head to the laundry shortly so I can get them on the line outside.

I need to do just a lil bit of shopping this morning. Will have a quick tidy and hoover when I get back. I'll be making bread later on as the loaf I made Friday evening is gone.

I need to pick up a couple more mixing bowls so will keep my eyes open while I'm shopping this morning. If I don't find any that I'm willing to pay the price of, I'll go to Home Bargains this week. They usually have good quality ones at a very reasonable cost. I just love that store. :D

Tea tonight is a mystery at this point. I didn't make this weeks meal plan up over the weekend. I'll have a quick look through the freezer before I head out. Hopefully I'll find something in there I can make.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day. (((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) to all.

    Peyton xx

It is hard! As I was the last person you would find in the gym! But I actually enjoy going now, I go alone, and find I can have "me" time. Ok, its not the same as relaxing in a hot bubble bath! But seeing the calories burn off after each session :D its an insentive to keep goin! Im sure you'll get there!!!
