    Hugs to mumofjusttwo.

    Congratulations on your wedding carlsberggirl.
Hope it goes ok at work greenbee.

Well this morning I've been flinging 5 things (the tyres on my car needed replacing). Came to a grand total of £129.74 so not too bad for 4 tyres and luckily one of the old tyres was ok for a spare tyre (old one had plenty of tread on it but was unfortunately perished).

Am off into town now to buy some daffodils for my Mum (she liked the ones I'd bought for AnW'sMum's DH), to pay in some cheques for OH and to collect my replacement freeview box as ours has been playing up. I'm also going to take the mounting collection of return to sender post for previous tenants to the post office to send back to the companies so that'll declutter the hallway fractionally.

After lunch OH and I are going over to the old flat to give it a bit of a clean before the estate agents come to take new pics.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Can I please go ARRGGHHHHHH.

Lovely neighbour has been round to say that some not so lovely barstewards have been along our road breaking into sheds etc. We had a look, nothing taken, but broken locks and twisted doors in mine - fair bit of damage over the road as a whole.

So flying will wait - have to source replacment locks, shed alarm, new padlocks for side gate. Our fear is they were just looking and will be back at some stage, 'cos otherwise all the mountain bikes would have gone, contents of freezers, power tools etc. We have victorian houses which are difficult to secure - too many large windows for one thing.

I am so damned cross - grrhh.

  • Am sooooooooo bored at work that I've been looking on web about selling gold, I'd seen an advert on tv a couple of weeks ago about this. Well I still have my old wedding ring from ex - found it whilst searching for something in bottom of jewellery box - and if I'm right in guessing weight (will have to weigh it when I get home) and cos it's 18 carat I could be £285.60 the richer!!! I now appreciate not flinging it in ex's face!! They also buy any type of gold, whether it's an odd earring or broken necklace

    Morning all :hello:

mumofjust2- *HUGE HUGS* Go and see your local citizens advice people. They will help you and when I went I even got to consult with a solicitor (by appointment) for free through them. Really cleared things up for me. I wasn't married to my ex so things for you will be a bit different. I clearly recall when he came to collect his stuff 4 days later the shocked look on his face when all his stuff was packed, and his surprise that he left at 10pm one night and I was in the citzens advice at 9am the next day getting my benefits sorted, then 2 days later I was in the job centre and seeing a solicitor. I hit the ground running so fast his head was spinning ;) Its almost a year later and I've slowed down to a jog now but you need to get yourself sorted and get the ball rolling NOW if you can. If you want to PM me then feel free.

    birthday50.gif TO W!!!! :D

Right, I'm home today as I'm supposed to be off anyway and typically I feel much better  I've got the gas man coming today to do the safety check so I need to shift some stuff out the way but basically all I need to do this week to clean the house is :
    • tidy up each room
    • remove the heater guard in my room once it's cooled down (the fella knows I do this - it saves him time as they are a real pain in the bottom to get off)
    • Move the mantelpiece / coffeetable / rug out the way ready for the gasfire check
    • Wash dishes
    • Hoover through
Already done a HHC. So going to have a cuppa, and then will do another one. :D

I don't know whether I'll ever catch up - no internet all day yesterday! To be fair it doesn't go down very often but still....

Anyway, I did my bathroom/toilet thoroughly yesterday and washed the floors. I also did some washing I think - yes, I did and hung it out in the (freezing cold) wind.

    No washing today though.

I've vacuumed through downstairs and dusted the living room. And watched ER from last night.

Ooh, the police are in the back garden peering into next door....maybe there is such a thing as karma!

Hope everyone's OK, I'll try to read some posts later.
  • Morning ladies,

Tristan is still in his coma. The Drs want to operate on him though they are worried he is too weak - the decision has to be made in the next 24hrs. I want him to pull through but I can't help feeling that he would rather drift off than possibly either die on the operating table or survive just a few weeks and then the inevitable happen anyway. I feel so bad for his family having to decide what he would want...

Anyway, please do continue with your prayers and thoughts, they mean so much. 145008001233002931-final.gif

I am so tired. I go to bed and then my head starts going round in circles and I can't shut it off. OR I fall asleep quickly but then wake up virtually every hour. Still, at least I don't have to try and work, I can rest if I need to.

Warm hugs to those who need them, and I hope everyone has a good day flyladying.
