    Morning all

I was going to do a 60 in 60 before my eyebrow appointment at 9.30am but i'm still sitting in my pjs so it will have to wait til afterwards. didn't think I had enough stuff but I keep seeing things I could get rid of (let's be honest i'm not going to use the bath salts I got given 3 Christmases ago!!)

mudbath - I would have expected them to speak to you about it. I would ask to see their child protection and health and safety policies which I think they should have. Often there's a big difference between things like a running club which is run by people enthusiastic at running with a branch for kids than somehting like a youth group or brownies which is run by people with some kind of training in working with young people. Could you find a weekend running club for them that would be in the daytime or one based at a stadium or running track?

pigpen - great news about Tabitha

    Happy Birthday to W

ETA - pigpen - my dad was tongue tied (not badly i don't think) when he was born, one day the GP came round, noticed and said 'that baby's tongue tied', promptly picked him up, put him on the kitchen table and un-tongue tied him using the bread knife  mind you it was 61 years ago!

Well it looks likeDH and Iare getting a divorce :(

Don't know what to do. I am so worried about finance. The money I earn doesn't even cover half the mortgage let alone the bills.

I don't want to move because of the children but I think that I am going to have to.

That's really sad news, (((hugs))) for you.

Don't panic though - you'll need lots of help and advice and you're sure to find it. I'm not very knowledgable, but when my sister was having a wobbly patch a while ago my neighbour who had been through it herself told me to get the Which guide to divorce which has lots of information.

But for now things look very black - remember, there are benefits you can get and also your husband will probably have to contribute to the household. And life will get better.

Try to visit a good friend who can give you a real hug!

Sorry to hear that Mumofjust2 never an easy decision - but too soon to think about moving just yet. You have to have a roof over your head and OH has to provide/help provide one if you have custody.
I would suggest (if you don't mind) that you make notes of all bank accounts so that you know what the finances are and keep copies of statements because one phase of the process is the Financial Disputes Resolution (assuming there has been a dispute over them) and you need to have as much information as possible to hand. Save all your bank statements - I had to provide a years worth of evidence.
Even if you intend to start off amicably it might, unfortunately, deteriorate given the adversarial divorce process...
Courts also like it if parties attend mediation (which has to be paid for but is cheaper than solicitors) and they actively encourage this.
Solicitors do free half hour interviews - you can have them at more than one solicitors which helps you find a solicitor you are comfortable with. Make sure you tell them you want a free half hour interview. My ex was told by whoever he spoke to that that firm of solicitors didn't do this, and neither did others (or so he said) and he STILL went with them! They were the first, alphabetically, in the directory!
This is NOT the case - they might call it a half hour consultation but if you aren't offered this...well you pays your money and you takes your choice.
Write down questions you have before you go in so that you don't forget them
And my final tip (been there twice) is don't cry at the solicitors - they are charging! Your mates will offer you a shoulder (I hope).
    (((hugs)))
If you want to PM me then...

If (and when) he moves out immediately get a reduction in council tax (phone them) ask to claim housing/CT benefit and also ring Tax Credits too (which AFAIK don't take savings into account). If your kids are at school check eligibility for free meals and uniform help to (county council.education dept for that)
You can actually enquire in advance so that you can hit the ground running...
