Right lovely ladies and men
I NEED HELP!!
My dishwasher is blowing the electric in the house, so it is now unpluged, electric back on.
BUT
It was on a cycle, it stopped on rinse cycle, the dishes etc are out of the machine, but there is approx. 2 inches of soapy water in the bottom of the machine.
I have look in the book that came with it, there is nothing about how to get this water out if the machine is broken, if you plug it back in it blows the electric again. (if it helps it is a NEFF)
So anyone any ideas how to get this out?
Thanks in advance.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Have you any tubing to run a syphon?
to run a syphon you need tubing (long enough to sit in the water and run to something shallow like a washing up bowl or an (empty) cat litter tray.
Submerge all the tubing, one end at a time, in the water so that the air in the tube is replaced completely by water. Holding one end under the water surface (as low as possible, put your thumb over the other end and bring to the bucket/tray. This needs to be lower than the was in the dishwasher to work.
The science - air pressure pushes down on the water thus forcing it into the tube and then the bowl because it's lower.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Flower when you get a new one, don't use it unless necessary. Laptops should work with the battery out! It stops the charging/recharging killing it. I got my last battery off ebay.
Michelle sounds like the munchkins are keeping you very busy. 2 years between mine and I remember how hard it was, nice now when they do play together nicely. I am sure you will be on top of things in no time.
Well done soappie, what a lovely sized kitchen! Could fit mine in there twice or moreI had a kitchen with a similar lay out and table (but mine was pine) which I loved in a previous house.
kazwookie www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk !!! As for the water, I ladelled ours out when our DW needed the filter sorting then soaked the last of it up with towels that were waiting to be washed. If you take the filter out it'll give you somewhere to put the ladel in usually.
I can smell petrol/exhaust fumes...........I bet DPs working on his quad with the garage door shut again, grrrrr men! Dog walked again, brrrrr!!!!
Have sorted another box, binned some more junk, recycled some more paper, now it's rest until after tea time with my book. Cup of coffee and global warming anyone? Ok just the coffee then....One day I might be more organised...........

Well done soappie - with you and AnW's Mum leading the way it looks as if the rest of us will have to stop claiming we can't do things and just get on with it... as Valli says, who needs men (and TBH, if you don't need them, then you can work with what you like rather than trying to pick one with useful skills!).
Have just cleaned the front door... was wiping it down while on the phone to a call centre  and realised there were lots of cobwebs around it, and far more worrying, spider nests  between the frame & the atomic strip. So the door and frame have been wiped, the cobwebs hoovered, and the atomic strip thoroughly scrubbed to ensure that there will be no baby spiders surviving to come into the house in the spring!
Washing is in from the line - half on the airer, and the other half has just come out of the TD.
As I've now put the hoover back together, I might as well get the rest of the house done...
Valli - stop it... :rolleyes:0 -
