morning all!
have had a quick clean through. Later DH is hopefully(with a bit of prompting) going to put up a small unit we got from Argos for the hallway. Its a sort of shelf with 3 small wicker baskets and some coat hooks so should help to tidy up and declutter the hallway. I do like everything to have a proper place and if it wasn't for the 3 blokes here I think I would go minimalist!:D makes less housework!;)
Other plans are to walk the dogs later, do some ironing and catch up with the laundry - 2nd load on now.Tonight I plan to watch the drama with Julie Walters in which promises to be very moving - tissues will be at the ready!
hope you all have a great day!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all...................(((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))if you need one.
Did not wake until 9.20 this morning, very late for me, although it was late when we went to bed, OH watched Elizabeth on TV.
Not sure what the weather is like, its very grey, but no tyres swiching on the road, so guess it must be dry.
OH had two of his dizzy's yesterday.......quite close together........Hopefully will get him out for a walk a bit later.
Haggis neeps and tatties tonight for supper, must take the haggis out of the freezer.............
No lans for the day, might try and cut another quilt block this afternoon, I just have 2 to go then all the blocks are finished. Will have to have my big stash boxes out to find fabric to sash the blocks with. I have some cotton curtain lining for the backing, might need more wadding will have to take a peek at that too. Putting a sleeve on the back, I think, then I can hang it on the wall in the hall,t will take turns with the other quilts I hang up.
Need to make a loaf so will put the breadmaker on whilst we are out, the dough will be ready to knad and rise when we get back......then it can prove in the airing cupboard for about an hour. It will have to go in the combi micro, no plans to have the big oven on today. I have learnt by experience to set the combi 20o lower than the normal oven, its only a small cavity, if I set it too high the top burns. Heats up a lot quicker than the electric oven too.
My second mug of coffee calls................see y'all later.

Morning, everyone.
The boys all had rugby games so it was an ealry start in our house. I got them all up and fed. I made a cheesecake for dessert and tidied the kitchen. One of the boys called to say their matches were cancelled so they are on the way home. I am quite relieved because that I don't have all the muddy gear to wash.
I am going to have a shower then make some more food for the freezer. It is well stocked and I am organised for the month. I am going to a friends for coffee this afternoon. I am going to bake some peanut butter cookies to take with me.
I hope this rain stops soon. I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Diva sorry you're not sleeping too well, there seems to be a lot of it about. DD2 climbed into bed with me last night around 3a.m. that was the end of my nights sleep because she is all elbows and knees!
minted lamb chops (reduced from £3.50 to 99p)for lunch with rosemary roasted potatoes and veg.
i got these from the co-op and I do think their reductions are very good, I went to sainsburys yesterday and trawled through all the reduced produce but the amount taken off is very small its almost not worth it.0 -
Morning all! :hello:
Huge hugs to all who want and need them :grouphug:
Well, today I shall be finishing all the things that didn't get finished yesterday :rotfl:. Especially once Dave discovered that the football was on TV! The best laid plans and all that... oh well. I've already sorted a huge pile to go on ebay and Dave has now announced that he's going to sort out his fishing gear and sell some of what he no longer uses  I did wonder if he was sick, but I think he thinks that if he sells off some of what he doesn't use, I might let him buy a new reel . It will be nice if all his fishing stuff fits in his fishing cupboard for once!
Nice easy day food-wise today. I just made pancakes for breakfast with the leftover yorkie batter (using maple syrup my mum gave us for Xmas - yum!); some ham is defrosting for lunchtime sarnies, and the stock and some leftovers from last night's chook are going into a risotto.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sundayxx

Good Morning Everyone
Had a great afternoon at Kew yesterday took flasks and fruit snacks so didn't spend in cafes or shop. Raining here today but I want to go walking, not sure where though.Waiting for DD18 to put a load in the machine, I put her stuff in with ours if it's the same colour as my wash and if she puts it in the wash basket but I'm leaving most so she gets used to doing her own, she is a very undomesticated 18 year old and I worry how she will manage. Being frugal I don't want her putting tiny loads on but feel she must do one main wash of her own and get it dryed and put away each week. Diner veggie lasgane and roast pots, lunch lentil soup. Have a book to read for book club Moday week so may keep warm in bed and read it today.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Morning friends.
Not written a lot these past few days. Parents gone home, was lovely having them here. DS feeling off colour this morning with cold type symptoms, he never makes a fuss though. DH gone for his sunday morning run.
I'm sitting here in the sunshine at the moment, but it's going, so think I will have to get the SAD lamp out for a bit. Trying to keep the dose up while I'm not so well. Been signed off work for 2 weeks, I MUST try and rest more. I'm not in work because of the tearfulness etc etc, but because I'm not physically ill really (other than medication side effects) I still spend time doing things instead of taking it easy. When will I ever learn? When this happened before a few years ago, all I did was shop for food, cook, do laundry. ANything else I deemed to be a bonus.
Today OS? Lots of bits and pieces in the fridge from the last couple of days. Did a chicken in the combi microwave last night which was a huge success, was delicious, massive tray of roast veg (pots, parsnips, carrots and red onions) and broccoli. Pud was an AF sponge flan made into a trifle with over catered bananas and custard made with AF cheapo milk powder.
There are only a few scraps of chicken left, but will put these into some spicy rice with a spot of curry sauce for tonight. Still some of the trifle left and also I made a jam roly poly the other night. DS says he had never had that before and enjoyed it. Now he says he has never had spotted !!!!!!. Poor child is deprived!
Ah well, hope you all have a pleasant day."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all!
Miserable day outside so I'm staying firmly indoors. First cup of coffee has been and gone and I'm sorting out the cooking for today. Made a lemon meringue (sp?) pie last night which will make a repeat visit today (why can I never get pastry right??), need to do some bread and a few lunchbox bits and pieces.
Is anyone else doing the Moonwalk this year? Was out walking yesterday to get started - am glad I didn't leave it until today!0
