Not as productive a day as I'd have liked, but it's gone ok.
I've got the food shop in, minus pasta sauce and Quorn mushroom pies, which Sainsburys have sold out of. They said they'd have more pasta sauce tomorrow so I'll go back in after my lecture and get some. That's to go with tomorrow night's dinner, otherwise it'll be a rather boring pasta with pasta. The mushroom pies can wait until next week now as I've picked up a mystery shop on Weds night so that's that night's dinner accounted for. Thurs is pasta and sauce again when I get back from my society meeting and Fri, I'll be in London.
I've got my washing in and I need to swap it to the dryer soon. I've attacked part of my room with a bin bag earlier out of frustration and I'll see if I can fill the bag before the night's through. I didn't get the books from uni or the passport form signed so I'll have to go in early tomorrow and do them before my lecture. I won't be able to do them after since my notetaker gives me a lift home on a Tues and she likes to leave straight away.
I've had a lovely dinner of fish fingers, mash and peas, though I'm not sure if I've got indigestion or I'm still hungry.Since Simon decided to get us started on the housework about 5 mins after I'd finished eating, I'm thinking it's the former. We now have a chores night, Mon, since Simon's finally caught onto the fact that he was the only one cleaning anything.
Thankfully, I got dusting this week, which took all of 10 mins, if that.
So, I'm off to change the washing over then give James and my grandparents a ring. Talk again soon.

Hehe you made me laught at the thing about not liking the twins of the euro thing, my BF is a blades fan and he said the same thing hehe.
If they ever don't have pasta sauce you can make your own really cheaply with (at it's most basic) a tin of value chopped tomatoes and a sprinkle of italian herbs. Tesco do value herbs for about 50p for a biggish tub and they last ages. You could also add a bit of tomato puree. Then just stir the pasta through - beaut! Versatile too you can tart it up with pretty much anything. I never buy ready made sauces, always make my own!

My dad's a Blades fan as well, that's where I get it from.
I don't normally follow football, tbh, but I sometimes follow them.
That's not a bad idea with the pasta sauce. I might give it a try when I've got more time, though tbh pasta sauce is only 3p more expensive than tinned tomatoes. It's something to keep in mind though, it all adds up.
I've just got to put the bedding back on then I'm off to bed. I'm having a peanut butter sandwich and some warm milk to help me sleep, let's hope it works. So, list for tomorrow.
Housework.
Sort out clean washing.
[strike]Wash yet more pots.[/strike] Done.
Uni.
Sikhism books.
General
Passport.
[STRIKE]Wish grandad happy birthday.[/STRIKE] Done.

I'd better get on with that bedding. Talk tomorrow.

Oh, joy! I've just had to tell my housmates that the DSA cut my funding for internet and phone allowance and they'll have to pay their share from now on. Which was awkward to start with. I thought the girls would freak and Simon would be ok with it, it turned out to be the other way around. The girls are ok, they understand and they're glad they've got it for free for as long as they have. Simon however, totally different story. He basically said that he'll pay the phone because he uses it. But we had internet through Virgin at the start of the year which I didn't like (it was slow and unpassworded) so we agreed to move onto O2. However, his parents were paying for Virgin and kept it as a backup internet for us. He now claims that he only ever uses the Virgin internet so he won't pay for the O2 internet because he doesn't use it. That's fair enough, if he wants to be like that I'll just split the bill between me and the girls, see how long they put up with being charged extra.
I've got the last of the baked potatoes in the microwave for lunch so it's going to be sandwiches for the rest of the week. I'm applying for a emergency loan through the uni to try to ease the money situation a bit. I don't know if I'll get one though as it's meant to be for circumstances beyond my control and I'm not sure if writing off my car last summer, having to buy a (expensive) new one and being short for the rest of the year really counts. I could put about the funding being cut, that might count. They gave me one this time last year for something really silly, then again that was pre-resession. I'll ask though, they can only say no.
I'd better get that potato before Simon spits his dummy out again. Talk again soon.

Hi there,
Just thought would pop in and say you seem to be doing well.
It is definitely worth trying for an emergency loan. My housemate last year used to get over 1000 pounds a year extra from asking for these things and she wasn't particularly hard up.0 -
I want to know where she studied, I'm moving there!
I'll get about £60, tops, and that's only for 30 days. But it's better than nothing and I should be working again by then, all being well. Plus, now my housemates are going to help with the next phone bill, that'll make things much easier as well. I can stop worrying I won't make this month's rent.

That's unusual to cut DSA funding in the middle of the year, have your needs changed? No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

No, they haven't changed. I'm not really sure what's happened. Basically, when I had my first needs assessment, I was told that I was entitled to £100 internet and phone allowance per year. The DSA is now claiming that not only do I only have £90, but that they've already paid it all, whilst simultaneously claiming that I only have a internet allowance, not a phone one as well. Since my internet bill is £7.50 a month, which adds up to £90 a year and I've only had the internet for 6 months, something clearly isn't right. I'm trying to appeal it with them but in the meantime, I can't afford to keep paying for the internet and phone by myself without getting anything back.

Have you got your original needs assessment? Do they pay it to you direct or the company? I'd definitely push the appeal with your student services, then your LA.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
