  • i like it as i don't miss £2 here and there, so you are really saving out of your budget.
plus it reminds me of being a kid, and the excitement of saving up small change until i could buy something big that i wanted.

    Just got another 1 - total now 3 = £6. Yay :smileyhea

Yes she certainly will - she only got the coin by making hair bows & selling them to her school friends for £1 each! Last night I got my ancient sewing machine out & showed her how to make them neater & quicker -she was making them by hand...I can see a cottage industry here! ;)

To Merlin and anyone else who wants to join, just posting on the thread is enough! Greenfingers will add you to the list and you can put your details in your signature. To make a signature, just click "User CP" at the top of the thread, click edit signature. Write your signature the same as a post and click "save signature". If you include how much you've saved and what you're saving for all your details will be added to Greenfingers' huge list and you will officially be a member of our fantastic club!

    Enjoy saving!

    Whoopee

just got another 2 x £2 coins from the sandwich van lady!

Told her I was saving them and she said that apparently there are some rare ones out there that are worth some money - yes, I said, £2. No, she says, there are some where the queen has earrings or a necklace ???. We looked at the two and one does have a necklace and the other doesn't....... There is a differnece in age of the coins, so I guess that explains it. I'm very sceptical of these things, but you never know.. Any numismatists out there who can shed light on this??!?
