Been watching this thread but didn't feel I could join as I didn't have any £2 coins. At last I got one today. Then DD2 was counting up her money in her moneybox and swapped me another for 2 £1 coins. Just my luck not to get another one now for a month.Books - the original virtual reality.

Yay, congratulations! The confetti website is great as a starting point for ideas and venues etc and it also has a wedding forum https://www.confetti.co.uk
Congratulations also to letsgobilliejoe and OH!
Back on the topic of £2 hunting, I've set myself a challenge of getting at least one more by the end of the week to get me up to £30...0 -
Big :smileyhea :smileyhea :smileyhea to linzibean and OH, and to letsgobilliejoe and OH too!
Sounds like a bit too much :kisses2: and not enough saving going on!!!
Not a single £2 for days now - my wallet is overflowing with £1s, though.
Talking to OH about it yesterday (he works in a shop) he says he doesn't give £2 in people's change because they complain that they're awkward sized. Odd, but worth remembering ...

What exactly does 'saving' your £2 coins achieve? isn't it just shifting your money around?0

Well - to me it's just more of an incentive to put that little bit extra away each month.
Yes...I suppose I could stick an extra £20 note when I deposit my usual savings.....but where's the fun in that?

It is saving them by not saving them. If they were saved "properly" by being paid into a high interest rate savings account they would disappear into the rest of the money coming in and going out.
Keeping them at home and talking about them gives them mystical powers and is fun.
Following this thread has made me sort my loose change rather than bag it and put it through one of those machines that prints a voucher and takes 7%.
It has also started drawing me into or money saving ways.0
