hi,
I've been saving pounds and two pounds for a while. A few years ago I got a terramundi as a gift (it's a terracotta money pot that you can't raid without breaking!) I filled it to nearly the top there was even a few notes in there! it was the first time I had saved any money! there was nearly 600 pounds in total when I smashed it. A friend and I now buy each other a terramundi for a birthday present. I have also purchased them for others too. The problem is I now have my usual terramundi with one two pounds and a few notes, a terramundi with 50p's in, a paint your own piggy bank that has 20p's in, and my mum has just returned from Spain with a gift of a giant terracotta "dinero negro" pot and I am at a loss what to put in it! It's a brilliant way of saving but too many pots means slower saving!! The second pot I filled(nearly) had 780 pounds in so I am trying to beat that total.£1 a day Christmas 2023 #190 -

Hi I have been doing this since they were first minted. I use them for my holidays and keep them in the old film cases. 15 go in nicely so they are easy to check on. £30 a time. current count £1920
