This is really quite clever. My "partner" puts all his change in a "pint jar" and although it does get raided occassion when its about half full, which is about once a month, he takes it to his mothers. She adds it to the "shoe box balance" left over from the previous month, and when it hits £100 she arranges for him to buy premium bonds with it! Hes averaging £1,000 each year!
I have a "piggy bank" given to me on my last birthday, I think I've got about £5.00 in it. My target is to pay off my mortgage (the place where I keep my stuff, and my mother hides out, as I live at my partners) so every extra I have goes on my mortgage. This way I can pay that little bit extra! It all helps.0 -

I got an avarice moment like that yesterday. I had to pop over the library at work to get some information and while I was waiting for the librarian to sort it out for me I noticed a pile of loose change on his desk. Right in the middle was a shiny shiny £2 coin. I swear it winked at me. Not having had a sniff of a legitimately acquired coin in over a week it seems somewhat cruel for the librarian to unwittingly tease me like that with his change. I just about managed to stop myself from swiping it but sadly I have no idea what answer he gave me to the question I'd asked him only moments earlier.
Greenfingers - do you offer therapy for this kind of psychological disturbance? What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Started Tuesday when I got given 2 in change at the Newsagents!
They have gone in my daughters money box together with the £13 odd in small change that's already in there!0
