I have just got another one! It's so frustrating waiting to get one, I nearly snatched it out of the assistant's hand.

At this rate my mum will not be getting a very good present!

I don't believe it! The Royal Mint claims that there were £249 million of them in circulation at the end of 2004, and that they issued a further £20 million in 2005.

Certainly none of them coming my way!

  • What do I do? I had amassed £12 of them in 5 days. Yesterday, son had to go on the bus to his work placement - had to give him 2 of the little beauties as had no money in purse. Then daughter had dancing - 2 more - so now only have 2 left!
The quandry is - should I have spent them or should I have gone to the cashpoint to draw out more money than I needed which then tempts me to spend the remainder???

Not for everyone, but if you really want lots of these £2 coins, then do a Grand National sweepstake at your work!

I've just started mine at my work (£2 per ticket of course) and about half of the tickettakers so far have given me £2 coins.

Lovely jubbly. Prizewinner will get crisp notes, I'll get loads in my tin!

yes i am the same i separated all my coins and have them all over now .where do you buy terramundis from ? good idea trying to beat a total ,i am so suprised how controlled i am with not dipping into the pots !!

You can get terramundi's from Athena, or online from the terramundi website. They are a little bit expensive at 15.99 but they look nice and you do get addicted to saving in them. So i think it's well worth it, also as you can't raid them!!
