  • Just checked and a refund has been paid to my credit card - no email or contact from B & Q whatsoever or reply to my email - the worst customer service I have ever experienced I would say. An email or a phone call with an apology would have cost them nothing.

    I won't be pursuing this but in future will make sure I try and not trade with B & Q - will look elsewhere before buying any DIY materials.

    if i wasnt watching this site i would be none the wiser that their was a problem as i saw the money go out of my account.no contact whatsoever from their end and when i have rung customer services they advised it will be in stock in a couple of weeks.
    i have even purchased the matching kitchen door to go on the front and dumped my old dishwasher which whilst it did stick on programmes still worked.
    i might just start ordering thousands of pounds worth of goods and when they ring to arrange delivery say sorry it was a mistake.

    very unhappy !!!

    Have you wrote to B&Q, citing breach of contract etc. I did a few days back, with no response. How are you going forward with your claim?? Be interseted to know as I am keen to claim.

    my sister phoned them yesterday,to be told that letters have been sent out to everyone that had ordered.she then asked what the letters said to be told we dont know.:confused::confused:
  • I just phoned to confirm money went back on my card, and they won't even tell me if I was charged for the product and then refunded. All they will say is that the order stands at 'zero' so 'if' money was taken it has now been refunded.

    No mention of a letter being sent.

    I took delivery of a washer/dryer and hob yesterday, and I am delighted with the bargains! But, I even had to chase these up and call with respect to delivery etc.

    The customer service is dreadful, and I'd never consider buying a kitchen or the like from them.

    same here letter was sent out as my email didnt work(strange i recieved my confirmation order).
    couldnt tell me what the letter said as it was sent from the server !!.i commented that i couldnt believe a computer was running their business and nobody new what this infamous letter said.
    anyway still no communication - and as other people have said i would not contemplate buying a kitchen from them.
    based upon my dealings and the current economic climate they could end up like woolworths if they dont pull their fingers out.
