Zanussi Integrated dishwasher - £94 delivered @ B&Q Possible misprice

I got the letter today - said they could not contact me by email - strange when the rest of the world can?

Letter just says order has been cancelled and money refunded due to s system error which showed more stock than available.

Is a letter not more legally binding than an email and they may be better from a legal point of view sending out letters to everyone? The letter contains a name and address to write to if not happy.

If someone comes up with the text for a letter and posts if I imagine plenty of people would be willing to send this to B & Q claiming "loss of bargain"?

My mum ordered this after I told her about it, she's just rang up to see why it hasn't been delivered yet and got the same story.

She said she was just about to order a cooker, hob, sinks, taps, fridge/freezer etc off them (she's having a whole new kitchen) but now she's not.

Had a phone call at 8:30am this morning to say my dishwasher would be delivered between 9&11, 9:30 there's a knock on the door and I've got a bright orange lorry parked on the road! Just fitted the door to the front and ran a rinse cycle, works like a treat!

That will explain why a dishwasher turned up but yours didn't.

Before you say anything, yes we forgot to put the handle on the door before attaching it to the dishwasher that can be fixed later!

I ordered mine in store at 10am on the Sunday, booking a delivery slot there & then thus getting an allocation. (Plus with 30% staff discount that fortnight £67.30 delivered was a steal!)
