Hi guys, someone posted recently about how you could get a pack of 3 cream eggs within a meal deal. Well just to let you know that Fanta/Oasis/Sprite and Dr Pepper are currently on BOGOF so on one meal deal you can get two bottles of pop. HTH x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • Sorry to be a bit off topic, especially in light of the chat debate! But I've been having trouble logging into my .com account the last few days, it just times out when I enter my e-mail and password. I need to get into it to print off an order confirmation to return something tomorrow. Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can get in!? Thanks
  • When I was in Boots today I saw some signs the SAs were putting out - 3 for 2 on some Soap & Glory products from tomorrow; think they were the normal S&G stuff rather than the snazzy new products.
    HTH someone

I can't believe we're going round and round discussing this chat business again. Polls made a suggestion about not mentioning every glitch to death so that they won't be busted so quickly (as we know, sometimes the same thing is explained over and over, often on the same page). I agreed and made a suggestion about how to deal with it via PMs or telling people to look up the info if it was recently posted. Nothing was said in any of that about cutting down general chat, shopping lists, etc - it was just about not mentioning glitches repeatedly for Boots to find and stamp out. And now it has devolved, yet again, into a debate about "maybe we need more boards, maybe we should chat less, maybe we should form a circle and do a boots dance so bargains will rain on us". It makes me feel so tired. <sigh>

Thanks skibster,:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Didn't mean to create a monster. Think I will go back to my sickbed. As you were folks, before I posted. Where did I save that lightbulb post now _pale_

Would your e-mail confirmation do ? If not take the order no with you and they can phone .com, just tell them you can't access .com
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

ooh loved lightbulb post!! post it, post it!!!!
  • Well, I hold my hands up high, and will shout out loud - GUILTY AS CHARGED! I'm afraid that I do wander off from the point when I'm writing about my days out, all of which centre around which Boots store I visited, and what bargains there were - or not. There's really no need for me to waffle on about my 2 for 1 lunch, and how I adore Boris Johnson for giving me a 24 hour Freedom Pass!

But, you know, it's very hard when you're posting something on the Grabbit board, to sort of break off mid sentence, and then put a "BTW blah blah ....." over on Refugees.

I was a Lurking Guest for yonks, and there does seem to be a pattern to the chat on here. Obviously, when there are glitches, it increases cos we all like to say whether we got any or not, it's only human nature. And the will they/won't they fiasco with the 75% sale, and the generic errors, and non deliveries, were really part and parcel of the whole thing.

I absolutely agree with Polls, that if we keep saying "I got 3 GWPs!!", and then someone else says "I got 4!", and then, not to be outdone, someone else says "Nah nah-nah nah nah, I got 27!", we'll find them padlocked to SAs, like chastity belts!

But it's sooooooooo hard not to! :j I know as soon as I read that someone had managed to use several Promo Codes, that I immediately tried to do the same, only to find none of them were accepted, so there's no doubt that Mr B and his Merry Men (and women) are reading this. But then, if we just posted "Glitch when you buy ABC", then that stands out a mile.

We need a compromise, so perhaps the suggestion made that Newbie questions are answered in a friendly way, as in "Hi! Welcome to the Board! You'll find all the info you need on the first page. HTH", is a step forward. And p'raps just listing the info about a GWP , and what people choose to do about it is up to them?

And I for one, will try my best not to waffle, or write poems, even though I loved doing them, especially "What Is A Blinkie?", and "The Captions"!

    xx

PS - Last chance to waffle! I'm thrilled to report that as I missed "Thriller" when my DS was taken ill, I wrote to the Manager at the Lyric Theatre last week, returning my tickets, as proof that they weren't used, and explained the situation, and she phoned me today, and has offered me replacements FOC!! :T :T :T

Oh man, all this talk of double fizzy drinks, chocolate and triple packs of Creme eggs with the meal deals has got my mouth watering but I can't have them now, I was recently diagnosed diabetic so I have to go easy on the sugar.
There's a great range of healthy sandwiches, I love the spicy Mexican bean wrap, but I do find it difficult to find a good range of sugar free drinks in Boots, mine has diet coke (yuk) and that's about it, I don't always want to drink water. There never seems to be any diet Sprite or Fanta in my local Boots, Mr B take note please
