...................... and the 1,875,488 asking "what is a Blinkie?"

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't you mean "whats a Lightbulb"?

Actually, I am sure I saw in the window of a Shop in Victoria St that Lightbulbs are being discontinued:confused::confused: I assume that they only mean in that chain, not everywhere.
Will have to have another look tomorrow:eek:

However, quite often no7 suncare is on sale BOGOF. They are clearing out old suncare now (and I don't know if the tills count the full price of clearance items -- that's another thing to sit back and wait and see what people find), but they may put new stock in on bogof. IF they do this, what has always happened before is that the till gives you credit for the full price before bogof -- as in, buy two suncare items at £10 each, the till takes off the price of one, but the gwp still scans as free even though the real total is £10. THEN hand over the blinkie and get the lot for £5 :)

Suncare/ aftersun comes up as healthcare on the boots website. If... No7 suncare is BOGOF (no one knows for sure yet), it may be possible to use the £2.50 wys £10 on healthcare voucher, that came in mailings/ or the one that came in the free vitamin C sachets a while back (this expires 31/01). Then get the new gwp for £2.50..probably wishful thinking!:)

Does it really? Because I got a leaflet instore from a SA on the normal tills last week for £2 off an £8 or more spend on healthcare, which I guess could also be included in combining vouchers etc? This leaflet expires 17/02/09.

Just a comment very late tonight I went in and tried to get the new L' Oreal Paris Free Selection Box. I went and purchased the wipes and handed over the GWP which the SA immediately stated that I wasn't entitled to it as you only got it when you purchased blah blah blah as if they had been well warned. After hearing this I had a very polite debate with her on the subject and after what seemed like ten minutes gave up and walked out quite embarrassed without buying anything. So pleased be warned they must be watching this site as they were just too tuned into the matter. HTH

We need a compromise, so perhaps the suggestion made that Newbie questions are answered in a friendly way, as in "Hi! Welcome to the Board! You'll find all the info you need on the first page. HTH", is a step forward. And p'raps just listing the info about a GWP , and what people choose to do about it is up to them?

Hello to all - my 1st post here. I have only started looking at this forum about 10 days ago and very pleased I am as have learnt so much...bought a few bits....received a few blinkies... and gained a couple of freebies... never had so many points on my card.

It is only due to the invaluable guidance you all give, that I have done so, BUT I did & still do read the pages, and have now learnt to scan read and pick up on the hints and tips, rather than expecting someone to list exactly what the current glitches are etc. Even I have noticed lots of repeated questions, so cutting back on those would be a good idea. As a newbie myself, pointing someone to another page/posting, surely can't be deemed to be rude? I didn't get a thing off .com for the same reason as loads of others, but can't seem the point in going over and over it as it's boring.

I would like the chat to remain as it makes me smile as I can actually picture some of you rushing round the stores, and planning your purchases the day before. My local is small, so no benefit in being that organised, but had a successful day today re odd reduced items in Ely. Even my hubby can see the sense in 'bootsing' but not to the extreme of the lady whose husband wanted to buy the entire Boots stock of reduced HE to get a camera, although I do admire his enthusiasm....that really made me giggle :rotfl:

Thank you all, and keep up the good work.

    Hi Sandra,
Hope u dont mind me asking but what did you actually say in your letter please, as I have tickets to see Grease next Friday and can't make it? My 76 yr old Dad is having an operation and is coming to stay with me to be looked after and cant be left. I dont mind missing it for him (obviously), but it seems such a waste of 2 good tickets.
    Many thanks x

    PMd you.
