Have people been able to use 250 pts voucher on the now £6.50 gold purse No7 gwp? It bleeped and manager in Man Picc stn Boots just said it didn't count as part of the 'range' and wouldn't override. She wouldn't budge, so I decided to try and find it elsewhere. I presume the blinkie works with it but wanted to use the voucher as well.0

Don't know if anyone has seen this, its on one of the other "Boots" posts on the Grabbit pages, but it seems like its something we could all do!!
If enough of us make our feelings known, they might take up our case & then, who knows what Boots will have to do!
We won't know, if we don't try!! I'm not trying to make trouble for Boots, but I cannot see how they can justify selling items at 100% of the price, when most were always sold at 342 or cheaper, after offering them for 75% & only removing the 75% because their systems were unable to cope!! Its not a justified reason!!
But you are just making trouble, and the bigger the fuss then the less likely they'll offer anything similar in the future.
What's wrong with selling something at its original price. Just because its been on 3 for 2 and 50% off doesn't mean that it always has to be sold at a discount? Infact, I'm fairly certain it can only be sold at a discount if its been sold at full price at some point.
If people are having orders cancelled for items that are showing instock at full price, then yes there is something wrong, but its not illegal for them to do it. And before anyone says anything an item showing instock on your favourites and only accessible through this way is not the same as being advertised as instock on the site.
The fact that its been commonly known that Boots go 50% > 75% > 90% means people are waiting for the larger discount sales, and then moaning that things go out of stock immediately. The vast majority of items in the 75% off sale have been freely available for the duration of the 3 for 2 (Effectively 33% off) and 50% off sales. If you wanted things that badly then they should have been purchased then.
If Boots aren't in any kind of cashflow difficulties, then it makes sense for them to hold onto any non-date limited products and offer them at other times of the year. Why sell something at 25% of its value just for the sake of it?0 -

I've got a Dr Who fob watch if you still want it? Also have a Dalek hot water bottle cover if you're interested. Best to PM me if you want them, as I often get lost in this huge thread!0 -

Hi,
Wonder if someone could please help. If I bought 7 bottles of HE and got the 700 offer points then used my mailing double points coupon, would I get 1400 points?
I thought I read somewhere that you don't get double points on offer points..but then on thinking about it started to get myself confused.
Also, I keep reading about people who use the SS tills. One of the stores I shop in has these...but I never use them....which I am started to think is a bit daft. Do you just scan your item and then put your vouchers in somewhere?
Thanks very much.0 -

No, u don't get double pts on offer pts; this is only applicable for 'normal' pts...
Re SS u just scan ur items; the screen is quite easy to follow and will prompt u... when u have finished shopping press the coupon option and scan the coups and put them in the box... HTH0 -

hello. I'm afraid that the double points coupon only works on the normal 4 points per pound and not the bonus 100 that you are getting for Herbal Essences and Pantene at the moment.
and yes you've got the right idea with the ss tills, just make sure that once you've scanned an item that you either place it on the bagging area on the right or press the "i don't want to bag this item" button when it comes up, or the till starts shouting at you! when you've finished scanning all your items, press finish and pay and it gives you a number of options one of which is "coupon". Press this, scan the coupon, check it has worked then post it through the coupon slot. I find that it often helps to have folded it in half as it seems to help the till to register that it has gone in. Sometimes once you've put a voucher in, you are given no other choice than to press a "no more coupons" button, but if this happens it takes you bak to the finish and pay stage and you just repeat the above again. I first used the ss tills to do some "legitimite" transactions and allowed the sa's to help me till i knew what i was doing then when i needed to use them on a killer glitch i would just wave the sa away with an "i'm fine thanks, i've used these loads of times".
