In the current economic climate there are people who need to use the offers to be able to buy stuff they need to make ends meet. To deprive someone of this chance just so you can get a load of stuff you wouldn't buy normally for free just baffles me.
*runs and hides again*
By the way, the fake tan in the St. Tropez Golden Body Set has a inital 'tint' to it that makes me look like Ross on friends when he's been to the tanning booth. The actual fake tan itself is a lovely colour when it develops and you wash the tint off but when you first put it on it's really dark !!! I prefer the clear stuff.0 -
ok we all had bit of a say lets move this discussion over to boots refugees as not to clog up the thread........

Well I have to say I didn't particularly want 50 bottles of shampoo. But I DID want, to give one example, a perfume set that cost £22. Now should I buy 22 bottles of HE at 44p each (£9.68) and use the points to pay for the perfume set, or pay £22 for the perfume set just to leave the HE on the shelf for someone else?
Now I admit perfume is a luxury and someone else might really NEED the shampoo. But I'm just not that altruistic that I'd pay £12.32 more than I had to for my perfume....;)Val.0 -
Hey guys
just thought id post on the off chance that somebody might have had two orders delivered in the sale. I really want the r&m £50 set but with all the problems with the sale i didnt manage to get it. I did manage to get the st tropez big set though so i was wondering if anyone would like to swap or would like to sell the r&m set to me. I would rather get it off someone on here than buy it on ebay.
thanks guys xxxDetermined to be Debt Free!!0 -

Fair enough. That makes great sense. Its a bit different to buying 200 bottles in £5 lots so that you can clear the clearance shelves too, though.
Anyways, as posted above by sinw, lets just leave it be now.0 -
Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone knows if there's anything worth hunting for in Watford today?
Many TIA
Also not to add fuel to the discussion but it might be helpful if all chat re: 300 HE could be put on the refugees thread instead? Makes for an easier skim read lol
Happy bootsing today all :j0 -
Yup, agree about Ebay. I've done a bit of selling in my time (I'm a toy collector and like most amateur collectore I sell doublers and lucky finds to finance my main collection) and it's boring, tedious and half the time you barely turn a profit. Plus all the bloomin' wrapping and queuing at the post office! Anyone that thinks they can get rich quick on Ebay is either deluded or has just inherited the contents of a rich relative's attic.
And don't forget the 'odd' person on here who likes to add insult to injury by posting a link to some unsuspecting ebayers auction/s. With comments like. "Look how much this person must have spent at Boots, no wonder I couldnt get one". Or "I bet they raided the sales". or other sarcastic comments about a person who they don't know. Or do they.I wonder sometimes if these comments and links arent just malicious behaviour in order to identify a particular MSE'r who perhaps they do not like.

Hi again from another Glasgow Bootser lol
Lol we're all coming out of the woodwork now, noticed you're from Clydebank, i was there a couple of weeks ago, it's tiny isn't it? The staff were lovely though my dd was getting some eyeliner and i wasn't paying any attention to what she was doing (was too busy watching somone totally confusing another sa over returning something ) and it was the sa who pointed out they were BOGOF and waited till she picked something else. :T:pwould like to make it known it is not a DHN, she's dancing
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.:A0 -
There were loads of putting sets at the Ipswich branch today, no reduced Gillette though.
They had the Olay gwp which I took one with a total effects skin exfoliator but the sa scanned the gwp first and when it came up free she checked the label and said I hadn't got the qualifying purchase so said I'd better leave it then and fled.:eek:0 -
2 putting sets left in Glasgow St Enochs center today, hardly any clearance left though.
But i did find 2 winkies sitting on the shelfAdded to my collection
