Has anyone got a picture of the white L'Oreal GWP mentioned in a post earlier?
'Tis this one I think, packed a little flatter with a cardboard band round it.

Popped into Maidstone boots today, not much in Fremlin walk but did manage to get some reduced Dove in the larger boots and some reduced hair shampoo for children, no Radox left. Also overheard two of the SA talking (as they were moving the clearance items near the till to over near the perfume counter) and they were planning to reduce items down to 50p or £1, not sure if they actually did as i had my 5 month old with me who was getting grumpy, but might be worth a look if anyone is going near tomorrow.
Chocolate always makes me feel better!
  • I'll be thinking of you and your dad, Mimi.

As far as spots go, I've been using the Dr Nick Lowe spot gel that you can get with the wrinklie. You have to be careful just to put a tiny bit on the spot itself - spread it on normal skin and it will make it dry and slightly peeling - but for spots it's great. Takes them from huge bright yellow things to flatter, paler red healing patches (which are certainly much easier to hide than the mountains lol) in just a few hours. I have a few at the moment, I think they were caused by the mineral makeup samples I ordered from the US that arrived this week, they made me start itching in less than a minute. :(

I gave in and bought the petal (pink) lip tint today, I kept going to smell it every time I was in the shop lol. Got a Sumptuous Bath Soak and a Liplicious gloss (which I've discovered I actually get on reasonably well with - a lip gloss I can use, will wonders never cease?) too, and a gwp with Golden Rose lippy (one I don't have, so I'm pleased) and a voucher. :)

I'm a Chanel girl too when the budget allows!! For spots though I love Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, I use it for any sort for blemish.

Hi, I came out in a 'spotty rash' using p&p serum day & night cream, took it all back & got to exchange it, never had any problems with any other creams before this, started using the olay regenerist cleansers after that & they cleared it up, and £5 off at the moment with voucher!!
  • Ventured in the snow today as needed to get a pair of shoes for an aunt... and Boots was just round the corner so wud have been a sin not visiting the branch, lol!:o Not much on the clearence section @ the mo... gift/wrapping paper still @ 75% off no further reductions...

Also the Girard sets r @ £8.56/£9.54 so nothing close to £4.77 some have pd... but one can still get the 500pts credited towards the purchase... @ present in my local as soon as one goes to pay for the set @ the perfume counter the SA grabs a 'Love Notes' booklet and tears the voucher 2b scanned which I thought was very thoughtful and friendly... quite a few 'Love Notes' booklets available...

The only bargain I got today were some R&M lip liners... had 3 left @ £2.33 each clearence price and as R&M r on offer for 342 I pd £4.66 in pts which I felt was a good price...:j

Thanks Jessie, did notice you've been quiet lately - debootsing eh?

Anyway, did think of taking pictures but thought that would be even more suss. :)

:D:D:D I used to have a life before all the bootsing and then got too stressed out with all the glitches, calculation, planning, being brave blahblah, then decided to take a break and chill out :rotfl: :rotfl: plus it's making me a bit uncomfortable that all the SAs in my branch probably know my face :o. Will go back once they forget about me or magically the store replaces all the staff members :p

To be honest, didn't miss bootsing that much since I still got a stash to finish (thanks to all you lovely guys/girls), but I do miss chatting with you lot, I must have broken my record of sticking to a forums for this long.

Anyway hope you and everybody else are well and having fun bootsing. I'll pop in once in a while if I find something worthwhile to share :D
  • Hi cocktailsavings
Thanks for pm - don't blame youself, its what we all do sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't! I'll keep trying and try to keep a low profile lol

Has anyone else had problems with their local store where as soon as they walk in, all SA's eyes are on them? I swear I walked in today and they were all gawking at me. I know I'm glamorous and what not, but I don't really need that kind of welcome! Anyone would have thought I was Brad Pitt or David Beckham or something. Anyway, it really put me off, so I don't think I will be going to Boots again for a while. I would understand if I just rolled around the aisles and never bought anything, but I spend like £10 a day there! How rude indeed.

    Mimi x x

I know what you mean exactly mims, its just the one sa in my local store thats like that though and there is an angel sa there too, who loves my shops and keeps asking me to go shopping with her:D. I think it is a shame that sas cant just be happy for shoppers getting there bargains and keeping them in jobs too. Takes a lot more energy to be nasy than be nice, but hey im guilty of having bad days too:o.

Dad's got his last stage of chemo (hickman line and transplant) starting tomorrow, and will be in hospital for a few weeks. I'm hoping it goes OK and that he will come out fine. Please can all of you say a little prayer for him whenever you can, and one for the family as well. Everyone seems really upset at home. Sorry, I know I'm not meant to chat on here, but I just did. Ooops. :o Thanks all. x x Mimi x x

I know what you mean, one of the SA's in my local store said that I must be holding off the recession on my own...with all my coupon usage/ purchases in boots! It was said light heartedly though....so I saw the funny side.:rotfl:

I do hope all goes well for your dad, (have been in a similar situation with parents and it is hard),
try to be strong for him and stay as positive as you can. :)
