Saw loads of hair fashiony items like straighteners and curlers and whatever else at the DEWSBURY store all on reduced/clearance. Quite a few King Of Shaves items for between £1.50 and £2.50, could perhaps use £1.00 off voucher with these (see first post for link). Lots of hair colour and Gilette and other items on clearance too. Saw some of that Naked or something handwash on clerance too, but 80p if a bit expensive for a tiny bottle. Still got 2 x £5 off P+P vouchers with my mates name on it. If anyone wants them, pm me!

Has anyone else had problems with their local store where as soon as they walk in, all SA's eyes are on them? I swear I walked in today and they were all gawking at me. I know I'm glamorous and what not, but I don't really need that kind of welcome! Anyone would have thought I was Brad Pitt or David Beckham or something. Anyway, it really put me off, so I don't think I will be going to Boots again for a while. I would understand if I just rolled around the aisles and never bought anything, but I spend like £10 a day there! How rude indeed.

Dad's got his last stage of chemo (hickman line and transplant) starting tomorrow, and will be in hospital for a few weeks. I'm hoping it goes OK and that he will come out fine. Please can all of you say a little prayer for him whenever you can, and one for the family as well. Everyone seems really upset at home. Sorry, I know I'm not meant to chat on here, but I just did. Ooops. :o Thanks all. x x Mimi x x

    Hi Mimi
Hope all goes well for you dad + you all
    take care x

  • Hi all!

Nothing to be had for us in brent cross today :S (Nothing worth buying IMO):
    - Radox soap refills - no price on shelf but scanned at £1.95
    - HE nothing below £1 - cheapest was £1.7x

    NO love notes booklets! :(

Did see the following for any of those who are interested:
    - lots of Olay Purple GWP (but there was an SA 'patrolling' the aisle!)
    - 1 x Mr Mascara passport set (£1.95 according to the till)
    - 1 x Mr Mascara passport cover only (no price)
    - LOADS of reduced no7 BUT mostly above £5 (including suncare, cleansers and 2 bits of odd make-up)
    - 3 x Model Me hair wax things
    - some Kangol mens and other bits
    - wrapping paper 73p

Also, Boots are doing 2 leaflets at the mo:
    - £2 off WYS £8 on healthcare (dotted around the store)
    - £5 off WYS £25 in larger boots stores :D - includes Bromley Glades, Brent Cross, Watford Harlequin (couple of other stores - will update when I find my leaflet!)

    HTH :D
  • any1 no if wigan or any stores near there has the durex giftsets i want get my bf 1 4 valentines day
  • Although, I have an oily skin I have never been troubled with spots, maybe the odd one has erupted but at the present time I have 4 hugh ones on my face and being over 60 it is not a good look.

I am normally a Chanel girl but I have been buying a lot of No7 and I recently opened the large black gift box that was 1/2 price and 342 before Christmas and have started to use everything in that, so I am assuming that is my problem. Anyone else have problems with No7 skincare? Also any quick cures for the spots?

Thank you for any tips you might have for my spotty complexion.
  • You may have something there. I've got a few recently and I've just started using No 7.

I'm a Chanel girl too when the budget allows!! For spots though I love Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, I use it for any sort for blemish.

Hi Sweeny. Your Mum needs to join Boots Health Club. She can do it instore or online here.

This will give her 10% of all Boots brand products if she is over 60. Also 50% off other items (see full details on the site)The discounts apply instore and online too.

She will receive a voucher which she needs to take into a store to active the account and any discounts. (takes a few weeks)

Hi, thanks pollsdolls for your reply, I signed her up for the Boots health club a while ago and she said that she had received some mail, but i'm pretty sure she has not activated it. Will this give her 10% off no7 products? she will be happy if it does, I took her bootsing a few weeks ago and she was like a child in a sweetie shop, she was buying all the reduced no7 products and using her blinkies and gaining more of them. She is nearly 73, so I would like to thank you all, for your postings. Thanks :)
  • Been Bootsing again today ladies!

    1st shop Glasgow Sauchiehall st
Olay Face Wash :£5.86 used £5 winkie, so 86p to pay
Girad Gift set: reduced to £8.56 used 500pts voucher#
    and gained another winkie!

Not much clearance or SEL in here, noticed a few bits of hair and radox things reduced, but i got loads of it yesterday! They did have 4 of the Girard gift sets, all reduced to £8.56

    2nd Shop Glasgow Buchannan Galleries
    CW Frizz gel: £1 clearance
    CW Shine serum: £1 clearance
used £2 winkie, got them for free!
Though the SA said i couldn't use winkie, i acted innocent and said my "sister" used it this morning, and told me about it, went through the till no problems

Clearance shelf in there was a bit better stocked than it was on Tuesday, though again not a great selection. Lots of reduced SEL though, never bothered with it, as stash is growing rapidly!

Also i picked up a load of love notes booklets, they are everywhere in the 2 Boots i went too! Though my mum, auntie and cousin have claimed a few, so if anyone needs any lmk!

You know it is funny you mention this.. I will be 40 this year and have never had a problem, but at last falls London Fashion Week I got some ROC freebies and stuff, and I swear within the week, I was a 16 year old all over again! I found that I was getting spots. Same as you, big and they hurt! Something like I had never had before. I tried quite a few things to sort it, and I will tell you the thing that worked for me.. from Boots of course.. was the OXY on the spot. I returned to my normal face wash and toner routine (pre ROC stuff) and put it on every morning under my cream and makeup and it works a wonder. I only use it the once a day and not a huge amount, but if I miss one day, the spots come right back! Needless to say that will not be happening again! I want to look 16 again but not that way!
