The Cowley Road branch has lots of No7 gift-type sets on the clearance stand at the back. Some eyeshadow palletes (4 colours) for £1, bronzer sets for £1 and a bag with some eye cosmetics for £6.50.:www: :: MFi3 ::
Original mortgage free date ~ January 2030
Current mortgage free date ~ July 20280 -
:hello: I was in there yesterday! Didn't buy anything but found a wrinklie thingy on the way out so it wasn't a wasted trip.:DThat branch is pretty good for clearance IMHO. I got looooads of HE last week. Although the SA dashed off to the shelf as soon as she saw how many points I'd got so don't think they lasted!0

Snipped.........................................
Ant powder, kitchen descaler, durex gift packs!!! It put me in mind of the Peggy Lee song "Cos I'm a wo .... man ...................., which lists all the things she can do in a day, singing it all very quickly, and I had visions of you singing:
I can kill ants, lurking in your pants, descale a pan, make love to a man ......cos I'm a wo ..... man!!
xxI'm a womanI can wash out 44 pairs of socks and have 'em hangin out on the line
I can starch & iron 2 dozens shirts 'fore you can count from 1 to 9
I can scoop up a great big dipper full of lard from the drippins can
Throw it in the skillet, go out & do my shopping, be back before it melts in the pan
'Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it againI can rub & scrub this old house til it's shinin like a dime
Feed the baby, grease the car , & powder my face at the same time
Get all dressed up, go out and swing til 4 a.m. and then
Lay down at 5, jump up at 6, and start all over again
'Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it againIf you come to me sickly you know I'm gonna make you well
If you come to me all hexed up you know I'm gonna break the spell
If you come to me hungry you know I'm gonna fill you full of grits
If it's lovin you're likin, I'll kiss you and give you the shiverin' fits
'Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it againI can stretch! a green black dollar bill from here to kindom come!
I can play the numbers pay the bills and still end up with some!
I got a twenty-dollar gold piece says there ain't nothing I can't do

'Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it again

Saw loads of hair fashiony items like straighteners and curlers and whatever else at the DEWSBURY store all on reduced/clearance. Quite a few King Of Shaves items for between £1.50 and £2.50, could perhaps use £1.00 off voucher with these (see first post for link). Lots of hair colour and Gilette and other items on clearance too. Saw some of that Naked or something handwash on clerance too, but 80p if a bit expensive for a tiny bottle. Still got 2 x £5 off P+P vouchers with my mates name on it. If anyone wants them, pm me!
Has anyone else had problems with their local store where as soon as they walk in, all SA's eyes are on them? I swear I walked in today and they were all gawking at me. I know I'm glamorous and what not, but I don't really need that kind of welcome! Anyone would have thought I was Brad Pitt or David Beckham or something. Anyway, it really put me off, so I don't think I will be going to Boots again for a while. I would understand if I just rolled around the aisles and never bought anything, but I spend like £10 a day there! How rude indeed.
Dad's got his last stage of chemo (hickman line and transplant) starting tomorrow, and will be in hospital for a few weeks. I'm hoping it goes OK and that he will come out fine. Please can all of you say a little prayer for him whenever you can, and one for the family as well. Everyone seems really upset at home. Sorry, I know I'm not meant to chat on here, but I just did. Ooops. Thanks all. x x Mimi x x
