Well done for reminding me lou,

I picked up 3 love notes booklets today, I won't use them, so if anyone wants the coupon from the back of it, I'll happily post it. Just pm me - Lou pm me and I'll send your one first :D .

So it's not just me who finds No7 extortionate then!!

Honestly, I can't believe how much they want for some of their products!

I agree - it used to be a nice mid-price brand, but now it is costing as much as the 'premium' brands and I don't believe the quality is as good.

I was looking for an eyebrow pencil and I couldn't believe it when I saw that they were £10 - the clinique one was under £9. I bought the Rimmel one at under £3, which is fine. The No 7 one is just a pencil, it's not like the Benefit Brow Zing or anything. For the first time I moved from thinking the range was expensive to thinking that was I being ripped off.

  • Don't think there are many Oxford Bootsers, but just in case:

The Cowley Road branch has lots of No7 gift-type sets on the clearance stand at the back. Some eyeshadow palletes (4 colours) for £1, bronzer sets for £1 and a bag with some eye cosmetics for £6.50.

I bought two pink box sets for £3 each. They include (all mini sizes):
    Nail polish in pink grapefruit
    Time Resisting Day Cream
Revitalising Hand Saviour (I LOVE this stuff)
    Dream Lash Mascara
    Tender Eyeshadow
    Nude lipliner
    Post Shave Balm
Liplicious lip gloss (full size I think)

They also had some vouchers in but they expired in April last year :o so I guess that gives an indication of how old the products are in case that puts you off. I thought it was a bargain anyway :)

    Hi DelaneyJae

Great to see another Oxford Bootser on here :D
The pink No 7 box was a gwp from Jan 2008. The clearance section sounds great in the Cowley Rd branch- not easy for me to get to though- I normally only go to the Cornmarket and occasionally the Retail Park branches.

Ta muchly for the update :) Hope you're enjoying the snow!

Oh was Crawley not very good then - was planning to head over there tomorrow!!! Well after the disaster yesterday in my local one where the ACMs weren't working I went to another one today and they didn't even have a machine!!! Grrrrrr!! A few more clearance items than yesterday but mostly old tat!!! I did manage to get the following:

No7 Toning Sun Protection SPF 15 for £2 (normal price £11.75)
No7 Toning Tan Maintainer for £2 (normal price £11.75)
Especially good for me as I'm heading out to my mum's in Spain in March!!!

So not bad bargains!! Still after the illusive Advantage Card machine!!! and extra vouchers!!

Is it worth trying Crawley then? or not really?

Sorry, but I laughed like a drain at your post - you have such an exotic shopping list!!!

Ant powder, kitchen descaler, durex gift packs!!! It put me in mind of the Peggy Lee song "Cos I'm a wo .... man ...................., which lists all the things she can do in a day, singing it all very quickly, and I had visions of you singing:

I can kill ants, lurking in your pants, descale a pan, make love to a man ......cos I'm a wo ..... man!!

Those of you who are old enough to remember this song will know exactly what I mean, the rest of you will be shaking your heads and thinking "It doesn't even scan, what a lot of rubbish"!!!!

    xx
