Hey all :hello:
Not a bargain of the century but a nice saving, yesterday I spotted the Roc Retin-Ox 12 week challenge packs with a reduced SEL of £14.68 from £29.35, so £9.68 using a wrinklie. The pack contains a £5 voucher for your next Roc Retin-Ox purchase...maybe able to combine with another wrinklie?

Honestly, I can't believe how much they want for some of their products!
:eek:
That's because they don't actually expect to sell them at full price but only when they're 3-4-2 or there's a voucher or GWP being given out with the products. No7 is really just a marketing tool to get us into Boots to spend cash in the first place.Val.0 -

Great!!!
I've ventured out into Swindon today and bought 2 L'Oreal Men Expert Anti-Fatigue Kits for £5.50 all together. It was buy one (scanning through at £3.67) and get one half price (which made it £1.83).
I didn't know i could get a 2nd one at half price until the SA told me, she was lovely. She was quite shocked, she started telling her colleagues about the deal!
Unfortunately though the 2 Radox shower gels I picked up didn't scan through at 40/49p - does anyone know why this might be the case?0 -
Hammersmith
Have some Olay packs reduced to about 12ish. Bought Olay Sunshine pack reduced to 9.30 minus wrinklie = 4.30.
75% sale - still has mulled wine sets, wrapping paper, cards and bows.
Westfield
75% - has the most left on the shelves, especially toys:
- must have had full shipment in of In The Night Garden Glow Lights in as boxes weren't damaged and shelves neatly stacked (approx. 20-25, very clearly part of the 75% sale);
- 2 ITNG The Ninky Nonk Wooden Stacking Pull Along;
- The Very Hungry Catepillar games;
- 5 Dalek hot water bottle covers;
- Tomy Guitar Rock Star;
- Woodworx;
- lots of little sewing kits;
- 3 Simpsons Duff Beer stein and opener;
- Enchanted Palace;
- 4 Stretch Power Rangers;
- the usual wrapping paper, cards and bows.
Stood there with pen and paper to note it all down, must have looked funny.
Also, there are 2 L'oreal anti-fatigue sets left (didn't buy and OH not remotely interested).
No 7 reduced but still relatively expensive compared to other stores.
No HE, or handsoaps.
Occurred to me that I don't often see good markdowns here, could be because Boots is still recouping the cost of the opening the store.
The Centre itself wasn't very busy.0 -
I just have to say - suepernan I love you
!!
After you mentioning the clearance items you'd seen at Derby Westfield yesterday, I popped over there this afternoon. OMG I've had my best Bootsing trip since the 75% sale day!
Still loads of the Bratz catwalk make-up sets for £1 (they are still being sold in other Boots for £10), Iggle Piggle, bit of Disney Princess, Dora, loads of No7, mens items (including Botanics, Ted Baker, Gillette etc), Charles Worthington, James Brown of London etc etc etc (I could go on forever!). Seriously, I counted 5 different clearance stands at ends of aisles.
Lovely SAs too - the 2 marking up the clearance items were really enjoying themselves, and nothing on their shelves were being priced at more than £1.50 :T . There were some Ted Baker items with no labels/product descriptions on them at all, so they just put a 10p sticker on them and bunged them on the shelf :rotfl: !
Among my bargains, I got -
Bratz catwalk make-up sets £1 each (suffice to say I've got all my DD's friends birthdays covered this year)
CW blow dry spray, Frizz scrum gel x2, and shine serum - all at 50p each, so all 4 completely free with one £2 haircare wrinklie :T
Botanics men Body Box £1.50
No7 Glossy Locks hair spritz (the old packaging) £1.40
and 4x Gillette shave gels full size cans 98p each, with 2 putting sets free.
I did my first shop with cash, then another with points. The first SA forgot to give me my wrinklie, as I'd spent £5.50, and when I asked another SA for it, she gave me 2, saying "oh we have to get rid of them".
The first SA was telling me that she'd reduced loads of items on Saturday and Sunday, and right enough, a lot of the stuff I bought today have double stickers on them ie the Bratz and CW do have stickers for £2.25 and £1, now £1 and 50p.
There were SELs for 2 types of Radox bath soak in the bath/shower section at 49p each, I picked up 2 from that shelf, but have noticed since I've got home that they went through at full price £1.65 and bogof. Wish I'd checked my receipt at the till - I usually do but I was so excited at all the bargains I'd got. So I'm not going to complain about full price Radox that I bought with points anyway.0 -
I nipped into Boots Pride Park on my way home from Westfield, had a look around. 3 clearance stands, but not brilliant bargains - except for the ROC 12-week challenge sets which they had a whole shelf of, at £7.34 each.
I did get some wilkinson sword disposable razors (8 pack) for OH at 74p, and there were a couple of childrens gift sets still there at 75% off - a Barbie camera and perfume set at £1.94, and a Bratz washbag and products for £2.50. My bargain of the day here though, was a John Frieda Frizz Ease Miraculous Rehydration treatment - big 150ml bottle. It had a clearance SEL on it £2.35, so I thought I'd use a wrinklie and get it for 35p. But when the SA scanned it, it showed a price of 67p :T !0
