I wish I knew what a 'blinkie' was and what all the initials stood for
Have a look at post #1 on this thread - you'll find most of what you're looking for there.
Blinkies (which were blue pinkies - £5 off no7 & R&M) have now expired - the current voucher is a "wrinklie" - £5 off skincare.0 -
I wish I knew what a 'blinkie' was and what all the initials stood for
Reading the first page will help! Then just immerse youself and you'll soon get the hang of it!
btw the current voucher is nick-named a wrinklie and is £5 off certain premium skincare (olay/L'oreal/Timedelay etc) and £2 off premium hair care (Toni and Guy/Trevor Sorbie etc) (the blinkie is an old voucher, no longer in use) hth0 -

Was wandering around Sedley and Oxford St around the same time today.
All liquid soaps, shower creams and Model Me gone. Sedley Pl had about 8 Radox soap refill bags for 49p left (of course BOGOF).
Wrinklie and Olay Eye Illuminator voucher (from the purple GWP) - tried this combination of vouchers with an Olay Definity cleanser but beeped and did not recognise the Illuminator voucher, so looks like only for the Eye Illuminator.
SS tills and GWP alert !! - paid for the above cleanser and GWP at SS till. Was smooth until payment and message asked for "authorisation on non-payment item" - ie. the Olay GWP. SA came and had a look at what was in my bag and OK'd it. This was at Sedley Pl. The days of freebie GWPs may have been busted.
PS: Oxford St was partly closed as there had been an accident. There was an awning (presumably covering the victim), with shoes and a handbag strewn nearby. Was in Boots opposite Primark when a SA said she was shaking. I asked what was going on and she said that the police had enquired about the dead woman's ID as she had a Boots card on her.
Very sad. Hope all here are present and accounted for.
I got that message on an SS till last week - turned out I hadn't actually scanned my GWP properly (I must have missed that it didn't beep, as DD was "helping" me  ). The SA was quite happy to scan it again and let it go though, no questions asked.
I've used SS tills twice after that, with free GWPs, and they haven't beeped (and one of the GWPs was one scanning at £0.00 with not qualifying purchase).0 -

Has n e 1 else had the same problem on SS 2day? If this is around all stores then it will b difficult to get the No7 GWP thru with electrical items too where the system c's it @ full price... TIA:(
I've done 2 half price electricals purchases to get the GWPs - first one was at a manned till, and the SA didn't blink an eye.0 -
Been on my travels - popped into Durham this morning - couldn't find any bargains but noticed free Giorgio 2008 bear with any fragrance purchase of £35.
Called into Derby Westfield on the way home and did much better. Radox handwash 500 ml refills reduced to 49p and BOGOF, managed to find the love brochure and gain 500 extra points on a Girard gift set reduced to £8.xx, Bratz catwalk make-up now down to £1, Dr Who phone charms still marked at £2.63 but going through at 69p, Wood Worx fighter plane kit down to £4.xx from £20.
Still loads of clearance No 7 lotions and potions - and the GWP's were all coded 488 if that helps anyone.
SA was fab, showing me all the bargains - she's the one by the side door not the main tills.
Did they still have lots of stock of the Bratz catwalk make-up? I've been eyeing these up for ages, but they never seemed to go below about £5 in the stores here.0 -
GLASGOW SILVERBURN
Popped in here today as was in the area and not much new but right at the back theres a stand with three shelves of straightner gift sets (straightners & products etc) with big reductions. Had just been to a funeral, so apologies for not remembering names etc but do remember the prices started from £16.99 and went up-some were reduced from £69.99 etc. Remember thinking it seemed to be 75% off but sorry wasnt quite "with it" iykwim. Well worth a look if you're in and after some though.0 -

I was going to shop around for my glasses when I next needed new ones but sudden emergency meant I couldn't and just had to plump for Boots. Mine were even more expensiv -- v short sighted, need v thin plastic & varifocals -- and the 'free' second pair would have cost about £200 too. So then we tried with the second pair being ordinary sunglasses, driving OK but no close reading, and it was still going to be v expensive and I couldn't justify it. Nice kind SA was so horrified I'd lose out on free glasses, she spoke to manager, got me 10% discount and I ended up paying just an extra £15 or so for prescription sunglasses, so was quite pleased. But a shame we don't get the normal points with opticians and can't spend points there either. That would be worth collecting millions of points for!0
