  • Obviously everyone is entitled to buy whatever they want but just so people are aware of what they are buying I'd like to point out that these birds are not kept in great conditions and the farm assured standard states that the stocking density must not exceed 25 kg/m2 which is still pretty packed in IMO. The chicken which is pumped with water also has other chemicals added so the water doesn't just run out. Personally I'd rather eat veg but if chemicals and animal welfare don't bother you it is a cracking deal.

I've heard that carrots scream when they are pulled out of the ground  :D

I will NEVER buy chicken from asda , i have bought a few lots from them and opened them after one day and the stench what came from it was horrid, have had vouchers from them for the inconvience, but also asda was on tv last year about how the prepare there chicken / fillets etc , and omg how disgusting.
and then again after watching hugh and jamie last year i would not eat this kind of stuff , i do not buy free range as i acnt afford it but i do keep chickens in the back agrden for the eggs(and how nice they are too) , but i still dont buy this cheap crap, i feel sad for the poor chickens
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

    OMG...personal choice...

I have laughed at this thread,we all make our own choices how we prioratise what we spend our money on.
THe program on how watered up chicken in put me off chicken but thats me..it doesn't mean i think anyone else shouldn't eat chicken.
I don't buy cheap mince as it all reduces down to nothing and swimming in fat but again thats what i like.
My son doesn't particualry like veg so it is all very well saying bulk it up with veg but if he isn't going to eat it then he is going to want something else after so not very cost effective either.
Thanks OP for posting a bargain , this forum is full of bargains, its up to us all which offes intrest us

well I popped off to asda this morning had to go anyway and picked up 3 packs that was all that was left bought loads of other stuff too got home check reciept and I had been charged 3.23 each
Just phoned and of course I will get my money back its just a bloody pain I dont drive and have to walk everywhere so another trip to get my money back. What is Asdas policy on overcharging? do you get double if so I will be well in the money lol worth checking your asda to see if they have any left with the stickers on saying £1 wait till you are charged full price then complain
Mortgage overpayments 2008 (started August) £300
  • You get a £2 gift card...but will most likely have to ask for it/insist the policy is still in existence.
