That's not possible. If I can make it, anyone can. ;)

Give it a go, you might surprise yourself. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
  • all this talk about Cauli (or macaroni) cheese, and nobody's mentioned peanuts yet?
Either buy raw peanuts and toast them in a dry frying pan, or buy roasted ready salted ones and swish them under the tap to wash the salt off (pat dry in a teatowel). After you've made the cheese sauce, add about half a handful of peanuts per portion. Stir them in, and then carry on as usual. They add a nice crunch, and go very nicely with the cheese imo.
  • There's a pasty shop at London Euston that does a cauli cheese pasty, and although it might sound a bit dodgy, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'd imagine with a bit of bacon and spicy cheese it would be even nicer, too.

I have no advice about the cauliflower cheese but if you need help with the 6 hungry rugby players just let know!

Love adding a smidge of mustard powder to cheese sauce, kids say they hate it but then when I left it out they siad it was bland!

Yes, mustard makes it extra yummy - Colmans English mustard is good in cheese sauce.

  • :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: Hi, i always make too much cauli cheese to! So i make 2 batches eat one and freeze the other for another dinner. I usally cook it from frozen on about200oc for about half an hour or so then about 5 mins from the end i sprinkle grated chees on top till it browns.
Tip, i always make the sauce quite thick or else it tends to go a bit runny when cooking
    Hope this helps
