    Here it is:

I must stress though this is a BUDGET recipe and no good if you don't want to compromise a bit:

    Fishermans Pie Recipe

In the slow cooker add 2 cod steaks (normal or smoked is your choice), 1 tin prawns, half a pint of milk, pinch or salt and pinch of pepper, about 2oz grated value cheese. On top add mashed potato. Cook in the slow cooker for about 4 or 5 hours or all day if needed.

A lot of the fish pie recipes are the same in principle.
I choose to use a white fish such as cod / haddock fillet and also a smoked fish. Make sure the fish are skinned and boneless.
Make up a fish sauce similar to the ones mentioned in other recipes and add the fish to it. Cook it and turn the fish gently until it starts to seperate.
I then add 2 big handfulls of fresh spinach and turn that in for a minute or two. sprinkle in some sweetcorn transfer to a dish and cover over with mash and a bit of cheese. cook for about 20 mins until browned off.
voila !! as they say on the continent :)

sorry about the lack of weighs and measure in the recipe  This is a throw it all in the pan recipe for me :rotfl:

as someone whose fish eating used to consist of little more than tuna and fishfingers :o:D im trying hard to increase my intake of fish.

something we've discovered a penchant for recently is UBER-cheap HM fish pie.

we buy cheap and cheerful boil-in-bag cod in butter sauce. once this is cooked, we transfer to an oven proof dish, add fried onion, peas, carrots etc into the sauce to bulk it out (and help make it slightly healthier, and top with mash/scalloped potatoes, or a rosti of sorts (its a bit like an impromptu hash brown), pop under the grill to brown, and serve with veg.

i cant tell you how yummy it is!

I made this tonight from a recipe a friend uses. It tasted fabulous! I am sure it was using the fish stock in the sauce that helped. Here it is......

    Fish Pie

    1lb unsmokedfish
    2 bay leaves
    1 lemon
    water
    milk
    potatoes
    parsley (2 bunches/3tbsp)

Poach the fish in milk and water with 2 bay leaves and juice of a whole lemon in the oven for 20 mins on 180C. Save the fish stock from the poaching and seive it.

Flake the fish into a bowl.

Make the white sauce using the fish stock (1 1/2pts) using about 2 level tbsp of corn flour/plain flour and add the chopped fresh parsley.

Mix the parsley sauce with the fish and put in a lasagne dish. Add the mashed potatoes on the top.

When ready to eat, warm the fish pie in the oven. (40 mins on 180/200C??)

    Easiest fish pie ever.

    2 salmon fillets cubed
    Prawns
    Juice half lemon
    Salt/Pepper
    Tub Creme Fraiche
    Mashed Potatoes

Placed cubed salmon and prawns into ovenproof dish, season with salt and pepper, add juice of 1/2 lemon. Cover with creme fraiche and mashed potatoes. Cook in oven 180-200 for 40ish minutes.

    yum.
No reliance should be placed on the above.
