If I have the laptop screen at a vertical then it looks awful - washed out and hard to see the difference - for example quotes look like they are in a very very pale pink box.
Weirdly if I tilt the screen back 45 degrees then it looks fine - the yellow is nice and strong (it's barely perceptible normally) and even the green looks stronger.

I don't mind it - the quote things are easier to define now there is a colour change.
I'd prefer if it the lines were more defined at the bottom of the posts though.
Also - it does make the adverts and things on the right look very odd compared so they would need lighter colours to IMO.Homer: Don't you worry about Wikipedia. We'll change it when we get home.
We'll change a lot of things.0 -
I don't see what the fuss is, I quite like it! Prefer it to the old design if I'm going to be honest!0

Im not seeing any pink or yellow......I see a really putrid magnolia colour.
And the green is a horrible washed out mint green which isnt the same tone as the green at the top, so it looks out of place.0 -

I quite like it, not sure about the yellow to the left of each post yet.
So you're suggesting that in order to make the pages more readable everyone should switch to a decent browser and turn on options for visually impaired users.
No I'm simply saying that the site should not be designed for users with visual impairment problems that they can address to suit their specific problem themselves. I don't see what the RNIB has got to do with how this site is presented.
Much as I am an advocate for everyone using a decent browser (firefox is my choice) it still seems a bit of an extreme suggestion in order to view 1 site.
If people have problems with the colours, then they can customise their own browser can't they!
Did you have something to do with this redesign?
No, it was a surprise to me but I don't think that it's dreadful and some people simply don't like any change. I agree that it should be left until Monday so that more users can see the changes. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I'm scared now, if I press F5 will it go pink? How non-sexist girly.0

Well, it's given me a headache. So I'll be off here I think for the weekend.0
