BOOTS 75% sale back on

I officially hate Boots now :mad:

All the stuff we had in our basket is now out of stock save for the most expensive bits, just wish they'd put limits on how much of something everyone could buy then perhaps we might stand the chance of some bargains. As it is with working all day (and not wanting to check at 6am every day!) evenings or in store was the only chance of getting something. Rant over :rotfl:

To be fair, when the website went back up this afternoon mostly everything was out of stock. I think they put it all out of stock on purpose so people wouldnt fill their baskets as it was the baskets that seemed to be causing the problems. I think that if the sale ever comes back then things will be back in stock again.

Hmm, I've been pondering, like you do - didn't someone mention there's someone on ebay listing hundreds of boots items? I've got visions of 'Mrs Boots's loft bursting at the seams with all the bargains she's trying to ebay before we can get them - think I've been pondering too long :rolleyes:

Come on Mr Boots, you know we need our 75% off sale.

Bizarrely, all the items that were showing as out of stock in my basket (about 8 items) are now back in stock. Does this mean they're about to go again on the 75% sale? Their stock tracking (probably owing to the website being naff) is appalling. I hope if it does go live again it won't be at 3am again!

yep i noticed a few selling the soap and glory pink case ...with everything in it listed seperate...but

. i think they should limit the ammount of same items a person could buy to 5 so everyone has a fair chance not just the ones who are on the computer at 6 in the morning

i tried thismorning and as i was at check out it crashed!!!

i rang them up and a lady hmm told me that someone would call me back in half an hours time to take my order over the phone as they were busy.

well i waited, tried to order online again with no luck, so rang them. the man on the phone couldnt put my order through as it kept crashing for him too!!!!

in the end he gave me 500 points for the inconvinience!!! so a little happy

This morning I have had an email from paypal to say payment has been taken from Boots and also an email from Boots to say order has been despatched, for one of my orders. Its the smallest one that I placed (2 baileys sets that seemed to be out of stock when I placed my initial order and then appeared online again straight after), so I am really hoping the initial one is going to be okay.

Pinkies crossed for all of you who also managed to get through the checkout yesterday xx

PS. It's a set for me and a set for my mum, they wont be hitting fleabay ;-) x

I managed to get an order in yesterday morning (before 8am) too and got a despatch email overnight. Looks as if it'll be here today. Realy pleased because I managed to get an Elle set. Hope others get their orders too.

I popped an order in early yesterday morning and it went through fine and just now got despatch email. Their website server/s are clearly not powerful enough to cope with large surges of traffic and I think that's pathetic when we are talking about a major retailer.

Incidentally, I was very surprised (and pleased) to see that their mini designer fragrance sets were in stock yesterday at £4.40 so got a couple of each. One of them is still still in stock evidently but up to full price. Rubbish web presence, isn't it?
