is [Name removed by Forum Team] going to to complain to the PCC about this article as well?

    http://www.echo-news.co.uk/search/3942271.Updated__Schoolboy__16__is_mobile_phone_tycoon/

it's full of stuff that's not true...

    his turnover
    where he lives
    where he goes to school
somebody else (not dad of course) is director
not being able to afford chocolate bars.. ;)

looks worse than the mirror one

Some good quotes from that newspaper article:-

“When you do business with [Name removed by Forum Team] , the first thing you need to do is suspend disbelief.”

I think we can all believe that.

A programme, set up by himself, logs and dispatches sales orders, so that he is constantly on top of figures, anywhere, anytime.

Tell that to all the people who haven't received either their goods or their money back.

Running a business, he believes, is a good way to improve his academic standards.

“It helps to keep me to deadlines. I’m never late handing my work in. It gives me a more mature approach to things, I think, and it means I can contribute more in class discussions.”

What academic standards? and what "mature approach". Judging by his replies here he is academically crap and very immature.

That's the newspaper report which started this entire saga: it's truly historic!

It's also, er, baffling: [Name removed by Forum Team] has repeatedly said that if people bother to read the original article, it's abundantly clear that he isn't a tycoon and doesn't have anything like the monthly turnover quoted.

Yet the Southend Echo report is the original article. . .

. . . unless, of course, [Name removed by Forum Team] or someone connected with GC'sPC's (as it then apostrophically was) wrote the original article in the form of a Press Release, filling it with "facts" intended to capture a headline and thus get a load of free publicity.

Who knows? [Name removed by Forum Team] has never said exactly what -- or more importantly, where -- that document is.

Whatever, it seems pretty obvious it's launched one of the most disastrous Public Relations campaigns in history, a bit like Hitler issuing a Press Release to say the German Army was going into Poland on a package tour, and then afterwards complaining that nobody had bothered to read what was actually said, and that the world's stupid journalists had turned it into a completely inaccurate story about some kind of invasion.

(Of course, he didn't sue the newspapers. Just bombed their printing plants. Things are more civilised now.)

Hawkwinddotcom: thanks for the BRILLIANT graphics!

PS: this thread is so fast-moving, some may have missed the earlier bit about [Name removed by Forum Team] WORLD which cropped up in response to a most relevant question from trisontana:

It is, of course, a total fiction. I think.

That original press release was also carried in other papers and publications. Luckily most of the online versions of these outlets carry a "comments" section and people have been able to put the record straight about [Name removed by Forum Team] . The only exception (I think) as been the Daily Mail where comments weren't allowed. So the poor disillusioned readers of that paper are probably still going around thinking that [Name removed by Forum Team] is the next Alan Sugar. Mind you, most Mail readers think they live on a different planet to us anyway!

Gaz mate - if you are still reading this thread, you had better hurry up and file your company accounts to Companies House, it appears you are already liable for a £150 fine for late payment, and by the 17th of this month the fine is going to go up to £375!

Take a look at the companies house website, under 'LateFilingPenalties'! (sorry I'm not allowed to post links here yet)

I know you have a system set up by yourself to ensure you are always on top of the company figures, but this one seems to have escaped your attention, you're gonna be leaking money out in fines for no reason - get those accounts filed mate! Take a sick day off school if you have to!
