even though it's just a normal http://
Surely his GCSE in IT would have taught him how to secure a page, no?
See post #793 for the full story of this potential fraud. I also registered on his site using made-up details (My supposed address was "401 Letsby Avenue" !) and can confirm that I was able to complete a credit-card transaction using random numbers on their unsecured site. This is the same technique used by those phishing emails pretending to be from banks. Very naughty. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Trisontana do you realise that by doing this you could feel the wrath of GLC Groups Legal Team? The penalties are very harsh including criminal prosecution, freezing of your bank account and if that does not work the new T&Cs include the option of an Atomic Wedgey0 -

If a customer is rude or offensive over a phone call, the call shall be terminated, we will trace the location of the call and the matter shall be reported to the police.
wow, i don't know how he can managed to trace a phone call when its been terminated? Is this even possible - i know the phone companies/emergency services can though!
If you owe us money through any means for example, receiving your goods and then issuing a chargeback, you then have both your money and goods and is completely illegal. We will then be entitled to any course of action to recover the funds plus additional collection fees. We may seize assets, freeze bank accounts and at no point, refrain from contacting you until we receive full payment. Undesired actions against you may be a result of non payment or refusal to pay. Similarly, if we owe the customer money, you must address the matter to be resolved by the company by contacting legal@gcspcs.co.uk . Failure to do so or if you attempt seeking funds before hand through other avenues will result in termination of your account, blocking from all of our services and may result in a criminal record.
Well Mr [Name removed by Forum Team] , i am afraid that if freezing a bank account cant be done by yourself and i believe requires a court order or to be authorised by the home secretary.
God this is funnier than Mock the Week!!!!!! (i must stop watching Dave!!!!!!)
I expect he will trace the number to a exchange. Of course this can only be done with BT numbers.
There is a site which will tell you what exchange a BT number is connected to but thats as far as he can go.0 -

Where is Simon Dovaston of Essex Police in all this? Particularly now that the [Name removed by Forum Team] s are simply collecting credit card numbers.
Oh, yes, I also placed a fake credit card order and discovered that you don't even have to put numbers in the card number field: I gave as my Visa card number: THE POLICE ARE ON THEIR WAY and was told that my order was successful.0 -
