This is the really sad thing about our society. How people like the [Name removed by Forum Team] with total distain for morality, common sense and common law can still trade.

We have such ineffectual laws that close the stable door long after the horse has bolted. Maybe it's time for our MPs to do some good, instead of points posturing, and enact a law that can close a company down immediately if it is in the public interest, for the protection of society and if the directors show total contempt?

  • Sadly what you've said is very true vikingaero, I've lost track of how many dodgy businessmen appear on watchdog who seem to have been able to run company after company...

Please refer to post #334, this thread.
1.5 You confirm that you have read and understood these conditions and you will fully adhere to them. This includes 1.9. There is no 1.9 lol same for this:

6.8 Anything outlined in 13.1 is not covered by this policy.

Yup, this idiot is all over the place -- as usual:

6.3 The goods must be returned to the address shown within the contact section of the website. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. In the case of faulty or mis-described goods we shall, after receiving notification in accordance with clause 7.3 or 7.4, either collect the goods from you or ask you to return the goods yourself.

Naturally enough, there's no clause 7.3. Or clause 7.4.

The latest T&Cs carry the proud endorsement:

"Written by and on behalf of Impulse Tech"

so it must be the case that [Name removed by Forum Team] himself has authored such brilliant legalese, where his academic background of 15 GCSEs and facility with the English language continues to shine through all these latest revisions, including:

1.4 If a member of staff is under suspicion that you have not read or ignored the terms and conditions, we reserve the right to permanently ban you from our website and refuse future contact and orders. This is classed as a break of contract.

So if as a potential customer you're prohibited from accessing the website and can't order anything then the order you've never placed is actually a legally-binding contract which will be broken by [Name removed by Forum Team] because you never placed the order to begin with.

(To clarify: a breach of 7.9 is and shall be so heretoforewith deemed a break of contract under 4.11[a] subsection B747 insofar as 8.04 constitutes suspicious activity by anyone anywhere contrary to the Human Rights Act, Tasmania, 1912.)

Consumers everywhere will be delighted that [Name removed by Forum Team] is penning his legal texts with the unstinting help of Essex Trading Standards otherwise his Terms & Conditions might have wound up looking like pretentious gibberish from an employee under suspicion of being a total moron.

Well, I haven't actually heard from [Name removed by Forum Team] , but Dan informs me that nothing on the new website appears without the endorsement of the Lord Chief Justice of Nigeria. . .

In conjunction with Essex Trading Standards, of course. ;)

There is not much to say but I checked with Essex police at the end of last week and DS Dovaston is aware of Impulsetechuk as are Trading Standards. He said the investigation is still ongoing. So to the best of my knowledge [Name removed by Forum Team] hasn't been cleared as stated in an earlier post and again cleared of what? we don't know what and if any charges were/are being looked at.
