That's a law that only applies in the state of New South Wales in Australia, you clown!

But son of [Name removed by Forum Team] says:

"The email address is legal@gcspcs.co.uk! This goes direct to an independant trained solicitor"

You have to wonder why a company that sells mobile phones would need a "trained solicitor" on the firm to answer emails??

You'd also wonder why a company would provide an email address that goes direct to their solicitor when solicitor's work on an hourly rate and therefore if many angry customers email them they are potentially leaving themselves open to astronomical legal fees. Anyone with half an ounce of sense would take emails direct and pass on those which they want to pass on rather than simply instructing a solicitor to read and reply to all emails. You know what, i'm beginning to get a bit suspicious about whether that email address really does go to a solicitor...

Oh boy, where do I begin? This is going to be a long post, and my replies to [Name removed by Forum Team] will be in red.
You cannot discriminate because I am 16 or because I'm doing my A-Levels (see Anti Discrimination Act 1977) - I can take you to court for it.
Bamber19 says that's Australian law: you are remembering that you can't use one country's laws in another because of, oh what's that word? Oh yeah, jurisdiction.

I have prior permission of the mods thank you very much 'butlers1982'.
Okay: Browntoa (who is a board guide on these forums) has already said that people with permission to post on behalf of companies should have that noted under their user IDs. Yours isn't showing there - if you have asked, then you might want to ask the team to see what's happening.

Brooker Dave - since when have newspapers told the truth? Come on surely your not that dumb? I made a complaint and it was put in the echo complaints section because the reporter had changed it from aimed to actual £30,000 in the article when that was not true. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!
If that is the case, did you lodge a complaint to the paper to get a correction issued in the next edition? If not, why not, especially if they made an error?

Trading Standards Approved our Terms and Conditions in March 2008.
No, as others have already said, Trading Standards help with consumer complaints against companies: checking and approving company terms and conditions does not come under their remit, that is what lawyers are for.

I am not prepared to state what subjects I am studying as I am here to help those customers that got stuck.
I don't think making insults at people will give the impression that you are, but that's just my opinion.

1. The post was written by myself James - WRONG
Okay, some people don't believe you and have said why they don't, but we'll have to take your word for it - for now.

2. We did lose our bank account due to Nigerian Fraudsters in July 2008 James - WRONG
Right. It's interesting how Nigerian Fraudsters would get access to a UK bank account, but it's not impossible, especially since the Nigerian Government doesn't seem to do much about criminals in their own country.

3. Two people from a city in the UK were arrested. I cannot give our farther details for Data Protection reasons. I do not accept insults James - WRONG
Since all arrests are made by the police, then they control the details, and do not have to give them out: I believe that falls under the "non-prejudicial" clauses of the law with regards to the suspects and any case brought against them.

4. We do not have an email address lega@gcspcs.co.uk. The email address is legal@gcspcs.co.uk! This goes direct to an independent trained solicitor James - WRONG
So, you're going to crucify James over an innocent typo that anyone can make? Nice (he says biting his tongue). Also, as Bamber said, solicitors charge an hourly fee, so how do you cover that?

5. I have 6 staff to run the business. My dad has nothing to do with it (he is an inactive member) James - WRONG
According to what's been discovered, your dad is listed as a director of the company. He can't not be involved with a company if that's the case - anything goes wrong with it, he's one of the first people who'll be questioned.

6. You seem to have no knowledge of fraudsters. In fact, all of them so far have! The processes we do cost over £100 James - WRONG
Wait a minute, all of your processes cost over 100 quid? That doesn't sound right to me: either they're taking too long because they need to be more efficient, or you're overpaying your staff.

7. I am not Nigerian and 020 3011 71 66 and it is our new phone number. It's like saying your house phone number is used by Nigerian fraudsters when its your own phone James! - WRONG
So, if you changed the number, why not get a message put on the old one to advise of the number change? Most phone providers offer that for you, and it's better customer relations.

8. Because of my age, Trading Standards confirmed they were happy for us to trade with those terms and conditions James - WRONG
Are you sure? I very much doubt that Trading Standards advised this as it's not in their remit.

10. We are not using PayPal James - WRONG
Is that because your Paypal account has been closed by Paypal themselves as has been hinted at earlier?

11. Our Terms and Conditions are fully legal and authorised James - WRONG
No, I beg to differ - there's so much in there that can be challenged in a court of law, and hopefully will be shortly.

12. We are not changing to NuevoTech. It is a temporary trading name until we get something that is more relevant to mobiles as clearly PCs is not James! (By the way I have more GCSE's than you! I have 15 in total all A* to C!!!!!!!!!!! Beat that - did you have a business or maybe even a job when you was 11?)- WRONG
So, how many award bodies did your school use to issue GCSEs? If you're not changing name, how come NuevoTech's on your website and it's the name of another company?

Also, you shouldn't really be using another company's name on your website pages or letterhead without their permission. I think it's called copyright infringement otherwise.

The number of exam awards you hold means absolutely nothing: I know people with hardly any GCSEs, yet they're some of the smartest people I know because they've learnt by experience.

13. Serena Thompson is a real person and I'm sure she will be very upset when you say she's imaginary James! - WRONG
Well, until she agrees to come on here and post separately, we've got the right to be skeptical about that.

Maybe also get a brain test, it would be good.
Ouch. That was uncalled for.

Anyone want to bet that [Name removed by Forum Team] going to try and analyse me in his next post?

Oh, Bamber, isn't it possible for a company to hire a solicitor on retainer? I seem to remember a company I used to work for did that very thing. Although, that's much more expensive though, isn't it?

For sure, but unless you set out as a small company with the sole purpose of scamming people why would you take this step? When I used to sell through a website my first thought was not "A lot of people are going to be scammed by me and angry so i'd best pay a large fee up front to a solicitor since i'm going to be using their resources constantly."

Just spotted something else, the Nigerian scammers...from Nigeria were arrested in a city in the UK where they are also from? Strange.

A very good point well made, sir :D

You know, I missed that first time round - that's kinda weird. Mind you, the number of Nigerian people who come here is quite high (note: I used to work in a local college, and they had quite a few Nigerian students there).

And come to think of it, I've never ever met a 'biased untrained solicitor'.

So are you suing the newspapers then as obviousley everyone seems to be 'wrong' apart from you?

Oh by the way the price of your memory cards is a joke.

Feel free to sue me for that comment.

You cannot discriminate because I am blahdeblah prior permission of the mods blahdeblah newspapers blahdeblah Trading Standards blahdeblah Nigerian Fraudsters blah I do not accept insults blahdeblah I am not Nigerian blahde Because of my age blahdeblahdeblah

I haven't laughed so hard in ages, if only because I keep reading this with the voice and image of Pitt The Younger in Blackadder in mind. I actually think we should let GCsPCs carry on trading, in the interests of comedy alone. "Get a brain test", said by the ostensible owner and operator of a limited company to his p*ssed off customers. I'd like to charge the little sod £948 for the underwear I've soiled and the cost of replacing my split sides. He claims he has 15 GCSEs - I could claim my !!!! is the length and width of the A1 but that wouldn't be physically possible either. Then claiming that Trading Standards waved through his dodgy terms and conditions on the basis that he's 16. Great idea - my Ponzi scheme, made up of 12 year olds, will be unstoppable!
