You may call me "benefit basher" all you like but if you read through our posts you'll find that I'm the one offering helpful, informative advice whereas you are offering nothing.

It's hardly supporting free speech to complain and get threads closed.

i didnt complain about any thread , why would i bother?, i came back the next day and it was locked i would presume it was the MSE guides or moderators that did that but it wasnt me, and if it was closed it will have been closed for a reason believe me, just would not like to think you were insinuating that i complained because i didnt after all it is all about free speech!!!

It seems to me there are a few new(ish) posters on here at the moment who delight in starting arguments.

Interestingly, these people are doing exactly the same in 'Discussions' where they have more freedom to speak freely, but still prefer to insult other posters instead.

It's all the evidence I need of their true intentions.

I think this thread may be pulled soon but I hope not as I think it is useful to new posters to see some of the reasoning behind certain posts... We are all human after all.

I dont think you should be insulting people here. They have not insulted you and do give alot of good advice which must count for something.

The biggets problem on this board is giving advice that no one wants to hear.

Examples of this advice is :

    1) Challenging someone why getting a job isn't a option.
    2) Getting people to help themselves.
    3) Cutting back on luxories (like internet connections) to save money
    4) Asking people to ask friends and families for help.

Most people know these are options for them, but they just don't want to hear it. They want the government to stand in at every opportunity.

When this is pointed out, the get aggressive and usually poke fun.

For some reason MSE Andrew felt fit to only address this thread to Benefits board regulars. Apparently newbies and non regulars are not part of the problem, god forbid actually causing the problem?;)
