I can only second what others have said really. We have 3 cats and the OR didn't ask how many cats we have or whether they were pedigree and we had pet insurance on our SOA. Like everything about bankruptcy, there seems to be a lot of grey areas :(

bit of a difference between running a cat and running a horse

cat - a tin of kitekat a day and a scratching post

horse - feed, vets, farrier, stables, saddles, horsebox

but what about horses - i'm getting worried about him now
Unfortunatly horses are counted as an asset and could be sold or you may be offered the chance to buy them.

All mine cost a week is 1 mouse and some crickets, cost about £3 a week to feed, and I'm still at risk of losing them :(

  • I suggested she take them to the or's office, or threaten to do so, yesterday. I mentioned this example to my AOR today, she said she woudl nto be interested in them, would not claim as an asset. I think OP shoudl complain to the OR.

The fact that you agree also makes me smile. :)

It is a "daft" situation, so perhaps a "daft" remedy?

  • Im going BR on the 12th Feb, I have a Lhasa Apso puppy, a gift from a guy I dated last Sept (he had too much money!!!!!!) I still haven't sent his reg papers to Kennel Club, so theres no record of him belonging to me, there is however a payment to Pet world on a recent BS, of course I was babysitting my mums dog while she recovered from an hysterectomy ( this is true by the way!!!!!) I have thought of everything, like the others said, you need to suddenly develop amnesia when asked if you have pets if you know what I mean. ..............Take Care x x

    They won't claim it. ;)

Like any other asset, only if it is literally worth thousands upon thousands.
