I love the alan dart patterns too, I have a baby pearl and a christmas gnome knitted but just can't find the enthusiasm to sew them together. Maybe this year:rotfl:
On the website there is a free pattern for an egg and chick, it's a pdf download. Quite cute. I'll put it on the easter thread too.

Hi all i am normally lurking over on the card making thread but i thought you lovely ladies might be able to give me some advice, since u are all so talented:D

i am going to make some cuddly toys for the pta at school and i was wondering if anyone knows of a website where i can get free patterns.

Would this one do? You'd have to pay $1.35 though. The free penguin pattern site at https://www.free-penguin.org seems to have been hijacked or something!
